Billy the turnstile attendant joins Sheffield Wednesday after 2 seasons at oakwell....the star understands that In an emotional farewell Billy is reported to have said ..I've had a good time at oakwell even though I didn't manage to figure regularly in the managements plans and couldn't manage to make any particular turnstile my own i was used all around the ground however I leave safe in the knowledge that I will be aquiring my preferred position on turnstile 10 at Sheffield..I'm joining a club that has the best turnstile in the football league in my opinion,along with the fact I know a few mates who work there already.. another factor coming from birdwell I thought it best to move south to be nearer family We understand that although it wasn't widely known Barnsley are glad he's gone due to him being a pain in the arcenda ....his father refused to comment...which is a first according to certain circles but we wish him well

I’ve been to games not involving Barnsley eg cup finals , games at Hillsborough Bramall Lane watching the opposition mainly Chelsea’s in the Charlie Cook David Webb days , but nothing comes close to watching the Reds . I loved watching Chelsea back in the day but as much enthusiasm they gave me it pales into significance watching super reds on a Tuesday night playing Workington Town. How he can get the same enjoyment watching an adopted team( rival) ax he says is beyond me although he did slip up a bit saying Barnsley would always be in his heart .
