Could well be off by the end of the window. Club want a permanent but sounds like this specific club are only willing to loan him first due to past injuries. Shame he's had so many injuries in his second spell. I was buzzing when he came back and I expected him to tear this league apart this year.
Isn’t he out of contract? Meaning a season long loan is pretty much a permanent transfer from our perspective.
Is it Luton? They’re going for a Barnsley second 11 at this rate surely? I’d have liked to have seen how he went on this season in league 1 as I think there is a decent player in there that would suit our system but injuries have ruined that. Shame really.
The right move for both sides I think. Just isn’t reliable enough unfortunately and now we’ve signed a couple more wingers. Wouldn’t be surprised to see hedges go either
It's not surprising the club want him off the wage bill. It's a shame and I've got fond memories of him first time round, but his second spell with us has been a complete disaster. Good look to whoever employs him, maybe he will end up on a pay as you play deal.
I'm gutted for him. Absolutely chuffed when we resigned him. It just doesn't seem to be working out. He was a big part of that season with the defend from the front. Shame. If he does move on I wish him all the best
We can't keep players in our squad who are out with minor injuries regularly so Fryers Hedges Isgrove Pinnilos have to go. I like all 4 and they are comfortably top league 1 players but we need a strong squad who can be rotated to keep our players fresh enough to play with the intensity Stendell wants no good paying for players to sit in the physios table most of the season.
Hammill aside we seem to struggle with wingers. Last time we came down I think most of us including me expected Treacy & Jennings to batter sides & this time plenty of us thought Isgrove & Hedges might do similar. All the best to Lloyd if he leaves, he may have proved a bad signing but I can’t imagine the lads happy picking up a wage & not contributing & I’ll never forget that header at Wembley.
Never should have signed him. Sat in reserves at Southampton for a year rather than getting a new club and when still no one signed him we got him on cheap and hes never played in two years. Lets be fair in 1st spell we had him he was only good in playoffs. No goals and 1 assist in rest of season and he played alot of it.....
If he goes on loan, he’s got the chance to play, get properly match fit & then who knows for next season. I can’t see anyone buying him at present, given his injury history. You never know, he might come good - he certainly has the skill (though the 1st 1.5 years of this contract has been disappointing- our club certainly can’t afford to pay players to watch games). It also may be that Daniel doesn’t rate him but I reckon a loan is our only option (unless we play him)
I don’t think that was his fault to be fair. Southampton wouldn’t loan him out as they wanted a fee for him
