This is why this forum is so good though - you get a cross range of topics with Barnsley FC being the main one. If none football was split off, it would kill it.
Its not so much about non football its the unfunny multiple posts. The same little clique all the time.
And yet in 11 months time this board will have been in 4e different decades. How many of the carbon copy clone boards with no soul can say that? I find it bizarre that people seem to want to take what's unique about this board, rip it out and turn it into a copy of other boards which are less successful
Go on then, give us all a laugh. Who's in this little clique? Ps, perhaps if you weren't so aggressive all the time they'd let you join them.
Watched the highlights of Prestons game away at Stoke on Quest. Potts showed up well with a goal but conceded a penalty but seems to have had a good game. Also watched the FA Cup games on BBC. Thought Nick Townsend played well for Newport County in their 1-1 draw away against Middlesbrough.
Like you say, the BBS has prevailed because it's different to the others. People starting a dozen threads about the same thing isn't one of the reasons for its success though.
It depends imo. Jay explained it best when he said that this is a pub and threads are conversations. If a group of people round a table are having a conversation and at the other side of the pub a different group of friends are talking about the same topic you don't force them to all move together and have a big group discussion because the two conversations are independent even though they're the same subject
I don't really get bothered about the multiple threads about the same subject but that analogy doesn't work.
Except that isn't why people start new threads. It's the opposite. They don't want anyone else in the pub to miss what they have to say.
