All kicking off at Stamford Bridge but Millwall got away with a clear handball.

I agree. It's the been the same in other sports like cricket for years, with telvised matches having DRS in place while the other matches don't. It always felt like the teams in the televised match had an unfair advantage.

I do see how hard/expensive it would be to have every match covered by VAR though. Especially in the earlier rounds of the FA cup whith the amount of fixtures there is and the sheer veriaty of venues(setting up VAR at Old Trafford would be easier than a non-league ground due to the infastructre already in place).

Justice was done thanks to VAR. Original ruling over ruled which was spot on.
Disgraceful tackle by Boyd for the Chelsea penalty. I agree, to ensure fairness
VAR should be available for all these games cos there is a lot at stake.

It needs to be brought in and in a way that doesnt slow the game down too much - The goal line stuff works, the current implementation of the VAR is poor though and could learn a lot from Rugby - though even there its far from perfect. Hard to see anyone seriously arguing against something that helps the officials make the right decision - Millwall excepted of course after yesterdays proof that the old saying "cheats never prosper" is total ******

then they should talk to the Rugby union people. I know its only used in the six nations and the World cup but that's still a good many games. The goal line technology is good enough IMHO for the lower leagues. But for the premier league and the latter stages of the two domestic cups ( maybe for the last 16 teams) then it should be definitely on. I also wish that they would cease replays too , well at least after the 4th round.

except that 2 key descisions in the Fowls chelsea game were ensured to be correct - the Wednesday Penalty was clearly an incorrect decision and the chelsea one was clearly correct but I dont know whether the ref gave it or the VAR ref

How about better coaching/training for referees and linesman the game is a wash with money but so often the officials are sub standard

Don't buy the too expensive for every game argument. It'd be loose change in football terms.

I don't understand how it takes so long to make a decision. Have multiple sat there watching the game live from different camera angles... It's a matter of pressing rewind and play a couple of times and a quick chat to agree. Should take seconds.

It’s wrong. It should be for every game or none at all
