Can't disagree with the notion there could be a handful of benefits, but they would take so long and the negatives far far outweigh the good. However this ends up, the UK have been woeful. From how the referendum was set up, to delivered, to the way the campaigning went, to the initial steps post vote, to where we are now. And as a result I don't think there will be many people who benefit in the next decade.

What isn't being picked up though.... the 16.1m remain voters. Everyone is focussing on the 17.4m leavers and the faux umbrage regularly seen on tv screens. But what will the 16.1m think and do when the dust settles on this and a GE is put forward? I'm really not sure.

It tells me all I want to know about benefitting anyone when of all people Rees Mogg takes his business to Ireland .
No amount of Remain information tells me mire than what that slime ball has done

Don't like the Lisbon Treaty. Three months in the nick without trial which can be extended to six. Taking up the failed Euro. UK to become a province of the US of E. Lack of democracy, being governed by appointees etc. All to come in by 2022.

The Backstop,as the UK calls it,is nothing to do with the EU future relationship. It is to do with maintaining the International Treaties which includes The Good Friday Agreement. You should ask yourself why the current government wants to break these treaties, which have brought peace to us in the UK .
Believe me, the people who could start a Sectarian conflict still exist and so do the people who will sell them the weapons. I personally think it is unfinished business from the Conservatives and the Elite. They have never really accepted the loss of Ireland. Now the UK is in the hands of the Imperialists, future conflict is inevitable.
This is what you Brits voted for, good luck with a return to the past. Friends in the NHS are reporting the return of diseases and ailments in children, not seen since the Victorian era.
The British people have to take responsibility for what might happen in the future, rather than blame the government and the EU.

I'm trying to avoid political threads. I have to say I am totally flummoxed by the stupidity of our Prime Minister & everyone involved in the Brexit **** up. The Europeans are better off without us.

Basically, everyone involved is a useless bag of faeces and they should do the honourable thing, admit it's been a complete **** up and call the whole thing off - then deploy riot police to deal with the frothing gammons who will take to the streets to burn the country they claim to love.

The Maybot is wasting her time going to Brussels. Barnier has stated some seven
minutes ago in the EU Parliament, that despite the UK's wish, the backstop cannot be
renegotiated. Farage is sitting close by taking notes. Bet he's on tonight's news giving
    his opinion.

It's almost as if Brexit is most stupid idea since that Polish farmer decided to show how hard he was he chopped his own head off with a chain saw. UKIP and their ilk have had 25 years to plan what they wanted and came up with.... What exactly?

Get ready for food prices to rocket (until we get chlorinated chicken - yum) of course Jacob Rees Mogg says we can have all these lovely trade deals. If any one believes a word that man says, I have some magic beans for sale. Does anyone really think that he and his mates give a toss about the general public? They've lied and lied - showing utter contempt for ordinary people. But hey ho, blue passports.

GDP growth in EU countries is much higher than the UK.

Everyone goes on about trade deals.

But the UK economy is mainly services, financial services.

What we need are service deals.

    And trade deals.

I usually try to post in a light hearted manner, but where Brexit is concerned I can't even manage gallows humour. Complete omnishambles from start to... I was going to say finish, but I'm not sure it'll ever finish. Feels like I'm watching snail racing... on an infinite racetrack.

Not for one minute saying that 'they need us more than we need them' but if you seriously think that with Germany entering recession, QE programme ending resulting in EU projected growth lower than the UK over the next few years, a 39 billion pound lost payout plus the UK annual net contributions 'going South', enormous youth unemployment in the PIGS, the loss of a huge export market (I.e. the UK) unrest in France and other countries then you are simply wrong.
Look at the bigger picture and stop letting your anti Conservative ideology cloud your thinking. It isn't just the UK that will suffer badly from no deal as some would claim. 27 countries vs 1 but they are not all equal when it comes to benefit and risk. The losers are likely to be the net recipients of the EU budget whilst France (already with a dreadful Debt to GDP ratio) will be expected to take up the burden should the UK leave without a deal hence their obstructive stance . Their militant farmers would also be up in arms as they lose one of their biggest markets and the whole of the CAP would be at risk.
All that said, the whole fiasco has been totally mismanaged from the start asit is looking more and more like a no-deal Brexit. If that happens then UK MUST stop all the bickering and get down to making the best of it.

Oh! and before some come on here on saying I live abroad so what has it got to do with me, I have already taken a far bigger hit than any of you living in the UK seeing as how my income is in Sterling and outgoings are in Euros so have taken a 30% cut in household income. I STILL would vote leave, as , I suspect, those that did so first time around. I don't get some people who actually seem to want UK to fail
