Is it just me, am I missing a massive shortfall?

All guesswork, but fairly big difference if I am anywhere near correct.

    Potts minimum £2000000 £4K p/w
    Moncur approx £250,000 £4K p/w
    Izzy £0 £5k p/w
    Winkler £250,000

McDonagh (like for like swap with Aramburu, Uruguayan)

    Green approx £200,000 £2.5k p/w
    Simeon approx £100,000 £1.5k p/w

    Have I missed any?

We should not be scratching round.
There is mark up to be made on more expensive players too!

    Come on GG!

You are right, but I'm not sad about the loss of Moncur & Izzy. Genuinely wish them well.

Winkler could be a massive loss, if he isn't replaced with DS's ideal man.

Potts is a loss, as he was a very effective attacking midfielder, but Green looks promising & in his absence Brown has proved to be a more than adequate replacement.

    Agree totally JP
Definitely think we should almost make DS get his own man to sound off with besides Chris Stern.
Once the gegenpress is implemented throat the club successfully, then we can bring other coaches through.
    It's too early right now.
    Just my opinion
Brown not yet finished article, but had his best game last night by a long shot.
He needs to keep working hard and listen to the coaches to continue improving!
Hope Green gets his chances too, we didn't seem to go to him much last night though, even though Oxford defenders were dead on their feet.

Not averse to hunting gems / scratching around, but we should have confidence in pushing the boat out a bit as well

Obviously the rest will go on "operating expenses", just like it always does.

Still a day left. If nothing else happens then it's time for answers.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt till then.

Other than a new Winkler I'd be happy to leave it at that.

Not sure where you got the net figure for Potts from RR. I thought we paid £1m; received £1.5m from Preston; paid Blackpool their proportion of the ‘sell on’ so I make it an overall profit on the deal of 57 pence.

I have heard some say he had a ‘sell on’ clause which was triggered. I’m sincerely hoping that is nonsense because if we have people at the Club whose idea of good business is to bring a player into a championship club for £1m but allow a clause of only £1.5m whereby the player can trigger a sale, then that is crackers. The only thing we could do that would be more idiotic would be to sell a player to a promotion rival.

Potts release clause was active due to relegation I think, if we had stayed up it wouldn't have been

Don't believe there was a release clause.

Can't imagine Winkler was on anything like what you are suggesting.

There must have been I reckon. Otherwise I would think we would have started to tout how much was being offered and tried to start a bidding war. He went 2 or 3 days into the window with only one club ever being involved.

    Hi Gally,
I was thinking that might be a compensation payout not his salary :)
I couldn't guess at what the coaches might be earning :)
