Just reading his full time assessment from Tuesday - he actively admitted he got the first half tactics wrong and said he would learn from it. It's good to see honesty like that and it bodes well for the future, rather than the Lee Johnsons of this world etc covering their mistakes with fluff and 'motivational' spiel.
Its easy to let mistakes go when you are doing well, not so when results are against, lets hope Danny Boy doesn`t have to keep repeating himself or laying the blame on the mistakes front.
I imagine when not speaking in your native tongue it's so much harder to create the typical spin you hear from a lot of managers. When your grasp of the language is still fairly basic you probably have to be really forthright and obvious with what you say.
Going back to the late 70s I entered my first German brothel went upstairs undressed and let's say I was entertained by a young German lady... on finishing the business ... I dressed and headed for the door purposely forgetting to pay ...quick as a flash the lady was up of the bed... grabbing her gown gesturing with her finger and thumb rubbed together and shouting Engleesh Engleesh I want The Marks...marks please...without further ado I replied 7 out of 10 love keep practicing......taxi I know..that's bad
Same happened at donny Rovers home game. Gave donny advantage straight away. Id be playing green in a front three in all away games from now on.
So who’s going wide left then? Moore or Woodrow? And who’s getting dropped for Green? Is it Brown who assisted both goals in the last match or Thiam who scored one of them? Also we didn’t drop Moore for the Doncaster home match so that point you’ve just made actually means **** all I’m glad Stendels the manager and not you.
Folks wont be so forgiving if we start losing regular under him, Dont think language is a problem in getting his point across. We have this with every new manager how they are a breath of fresh air to listen to, until they start losing then we get the slagging off. Its nowt new.
Don't disagree. I'm just saying when English isn't your first language it must be even harder to talk with 'spin' about performances, so we'll probably never hear it.
We will have to wait and see, hope he does get a better grasp of the language for his own advancement.
