I've never seen such an idle bunch of kids in my life. They sit in groups of 2 to 4 and never get off their fat ar5es letting the stewards or kids in the crowd fetch the ball. Don't know where they're from or who is in charge of them but they need a serious bollocking. They wa.nt splitting up as well. I'd sack the lot of em and get the cubs or scouts to do the job, they'd be a lot more eager.
They are poor. The oxford ballboys were how ball boys ought to be. I am surprised the management team have not highlighted the pispoor performance of our lot.
Some of them actually look forced to be there, asif it’s a chore being sat on the side of the pitch watching the football instead of observing and learning from the first team.
When I was young they'd get local under 11's team to ball boy at the Donny Rovers, and the kids loved it... Are these volunteers or local kids teams?
An embarrassment to the club, their families and to the very idea of them becoming professional football players. Should release them from any youth contract and tell them to do one. Any person in authority at our club who sees them during a match and is happy with what they see should also be ashamed of themselves Harsh but true
They have wound me up for years. I’ve asked for questions about their training to be asked at multiple fan’s forums but then gave up bringing it up as no answer was ever given or it wasn’t asked. It’s embarrassing that at a professional football club the goalies have to scramble about in the stands to get the ball back.
They really are pointless. We may as well not bother with them and just leave it up to the fans, stewards and players to retrieve the ball.
Idle, feckless waste of space. That incident where the steward in a blue top took an age to get the ball in the away end while four ball boys sat together down by the corner flag was the worst of it. I wonder if that would have happened if we were losing?
Yeah but he weren’t going to go running 20 rows up for the ball was he? Don’t know how club doesn’t get in trouble for it to be honest.
Thats my point. Adam could put the ball down ready for a goal kick, then a spectator could run on to the pitch, nick the ball and take it home. And Davies would still get booked for timewasting.
