Football Heaven had people saying who their second club was. Someone said in the 90s they used to spend their Sunday nights with other ex pats watching Tenerife play. Made me think a club like that must have a fair amount of British season ticket holders helping the club coffers. Be interesting to know.

Yes there’s plenty of Brits that go up from Las Americas / Cristianos area with a supporters group for home games, I remember looking into it a few years ago but the dates didn’t work out.

Whilst living in Ankara I used to join a group of expats at Ankaragücü home games.

Depends how you deter second club tbh.
I can imagine Malaga etc where ex pats go to winter and get their footy fix .
My second club used to be Chelsea back in the day and whenever they came Yorkshire way if Reds we’re away I’d go watch em .
Not so much bothered now especially since Abramovich took over so don’t really have a second club but I do root for clubs as Accrington Stanley and Wimbledon and Have a soft spot for Bradford City who I used to hate at one point but since the fire always want em to do well .

None really. I like to see the small clubs turning the bigger clubs over (with some exceptions) but I wouldn't go as far as having a club that I would align myself with enough to consider them a second club.

in 1979 after their cup final win I wrote to Man Utd asking for a few autographs , a few weeks later I received a box full of posters , autographs etc and loved it , it was like Christmas for a football loving kid. Bearing in mind at that time there was little form of entertainment apart from our own this was something else . Chuffin hate them now !

Went to watch Newcastle occasionally when I was at University there. Used to get tickets in the old Gallowgate in the first couple of years of them being promoted into the newly formed Premier League under Keegan. They were pretty entertaining to watch and it was hard not to get dragged into it a little bit because it's all the locals bloody talked about. It was crazy the enthusiasm they had for that team and two of my house mates were Toon fans. I did keep an eye on their results for a for a couple of years but can't say I have a second club these days. (not sure I did then but that was the nearest I got I guess)

Lived outside Milan in the 90s and watched AC Milan play a few times, Gullit, Van Basten, etc. I enjoyed the day out and spectacle of course but don't recall getting massively into it. I personally just don't unless I support the club. AC Milan weren't bad though, although Conan would probably have wanted to move them all on in 3 transfer windows.

During my time at Broadway I had a self-made wooden pencil box (one of my artistic masterpieces produced in woodwork lessons) :). It had a Toby Tyke sticker on it, obviously, and also an Ozzy Owl one, stuck on by a Wednesday loving classmate (the late David Buttle).
Written on the sides were the other teams I had a soft spot for:
Swindon Town, because I liked their performance at Wembley against Arsenal and they had Don Rogers on the wing.
Coventry City, because I admired the job that Jimmy Hill had done with his "Sky Blue Revolution".
Middlesbrough - can't remember why. Big Yorkshire club at the time without the delusional elements of Leeds and the Sheffield lot.

Go watch Boston United every now and again now i live down here but the football is horrific! Also Feyenoord is my joint first team with Barnsley due to being half Dutch and born in Rotterdam.

Apart from that i follow a few foreign teams that friends from there support such as Inverness CT, Brann in Norway and Breidablik in Iceland.

Celtic, great place to be on a European night. Tend to always look for their results.

Always used to be Rushden and Diamonds. Used to watch them in the old Beaver Homes league when I couldn't get to Barnsley games, and more recently have been to the odd Wimbledon game including their play off final against Luton a few years back

Used to watch Colchester on a student season ticket when I was away at University in the 80s. Standard of football was truly awful but they went on a tremendous run at the back end of 88/89 to squeak past Darlington and stay up after being bottom of the 4th division by miles at one stage . The atmosphere was terrific.

Other than that, when I was a kid I chose a team at random on the Aussie pools list to follow over the summer. Big Knox City fan I was.... ;)

Used to like Grimsby Town as a young en. Went to Clee a lot and had family there. Also, strangely, Leyton Orient.

Recently it was good to see Hudds get into the big time.
Soft spot for Bradford (gutted I couldnt get a ticket for VP). Would like to see Halifax get back in League. Wrexham and Rushden & Diamonds also.

Haven't really got a 2nd team, just soft spots.

Havant and Waterlooville, they play in Leigh park which is pretty rough even in the best light!

They’ve got a supporters club similar to the old one at Oakwell and it’s only £125 a season ticket or £6 in with military ID, not bad for national league football

I ended up in the middle of Brugge city centre for the cercle Brugge promotion party last year so keep an eye out for them now too!

Fortuna Dusseldorf....Brilliant atmosphere, great night out, friendly fans and you'd be surprised how many Brits go to the games, I know a few with season tickets they go that often...we've a UK fan club and are having a meet at the Dortmund away game next to last of the season (100+ Ipswich fans going to the last home game v Hannover).

Whoever happens to be playing Sheffield Wednesday!

When we went in to administration a few years ago, my brother and I made a pact that if we folded, we'd go to Hillsborough every other week and support the opposition!
