That's not the police though is it? The club are in a difficult situation here. There are a lot of complaints about the behavior in that top corner including previous damage and have to act. On the flip side they get complaints when they do act because they culprits end up sandwiched in to other parts of the ground and the atmosphere is not the same.
I’m not sure mate that’s why I asked. If it isn’t a police issue then fair enough. If there is vandalism issues I fully understand the club have to act, I don’t think closing the whole area off is the answer though to what is probably one idiot doing the damage. Back to the policing issues, i should’ve left that for another thread
Why when it's been scientifically proved - as I said kids have lost their eye sight because of it - should be prove enough shouldn't it
I’d rather focus on the 11 thousand other people that are affected by those idiots having no atmosphere at games, identify the culprits and ban them I mean there’s plenty of CCTV around to do it. Personally I’m unsure wether this vandalism is happening, I or anyone I’ve spoken to regarding this have never seen anything happen. This will be my last comment on this thread regarding this, don’t want to go off topic more than I already have.
Er, not quite the point. Dog muck is poisonous but I don’t think it’s correct to say oss muck isn’t harmful. Eating $hite of any kind won’t do you much good.
Dog shi te is very harmful You've only got to look at the damage the tories have caused to the country to see why
What about a policeman at the bottom of Oakwell Lane like there used to be. It's a nightmare trying to cross before and after the match not helped by people parked waiting to pick people up.
Why did they train their cameras on four families with their kids in the Tommy wallocks for 20 minutes when the smack heads were fighting with themselves amongst shoppers outside India gardens 15 foot away? The west stand issue With such an enormous police presence, how did the manure fans get away with what they did in the concourse? Why are they all so small and look really unfit? Whilst they are out in such disproportionately high numbers, can they get some practice in cleaning the spice heads off the streets before the glassworks are finished?
It has happened in the past as I’ve seen the photos of the aftermath. I dont know if its still happening.
You should be asking how long they keep footage of people for if they have no good reason to keep it.
Did we ever get an official response or announcement on what the result of Millwall trouble at the Playoff Final was? I feel like little or no punishment was taken. As bad as Chelsea fans shouting racist abuse at players is, is it worse than fans travelling hundreds of seats across the top tier of our national stadium to attack families? Zero news coverage. Zero punishment*. * To my knowledge but I might have missed it. Seemed to be brushed under the carpet
If SYP want to know how to police game ask them to follow Preston football police The feedback they get from all away supporters is fantastic
Yes, the early kick-offs are frustrating, the last 3 Sheffield derby's have been Friday/Monday night games for sky, at least we haven't had the 2 Donny games moved to an early kick-off this season, so that's a start! But if we go back up, it would be nice not to have the Leeds/Sheffield/Huddersfield games at midday...even 1pm isn't to bad, but anything before 1 is just terrible, and some people work Saturday mornings!! Then the old one of the north stand not being allowed to have full capacity anymore, even if it can't have 6000 in, surely 5000 minimum and up to 5300!? Same with us not being allowed to use the end block of the East lower when the north is full, this seems crazy when some grounds have 4 yards separating fans, and we have 40 yards!!! I know Beth did explain this, and not sure if police can help change any of this!? We must be losing £1000s for big games though!!!
Yeah but as she explained this isn't just down to SYP. It's about the timed evacuation times for the various sections of the stand and the safety advisory board's recommendation.
Most of the issues seem to lie with the SAB not the SYP. I personally think what is needed is a pot of cash and a month or two over the summer (longer term if necessary) allotted to improving safety standards across the ground to rectify these issues.
