Yet another clean sheet. Not bad for a team with a dodgy goalie, a terrible right back, a left back with no pace and only one decent centre half.
I am, a draw away against a promotion rival, just couldn’t afford to let them beat us today. Shame about Sunderland, but nothing we can do about that .
It’d have been a wonderful point had we beaten Burton Tuesday, even so it’s a good point at a direct rival
All things considered, yep. Solid point against a decent team away from home, clean sheet, unbeaten run continues. Onwards.
Excellent result against the team leading the division for months, we've lost Moncur, Potts, Moore to injury so a draw against them at their place is superb. We will still have to beat the nearest challengers (Sunderland) but as has been said it's in our hands now. I would have taken that before the game
I'm disappointed tbh, fair play to Davies with the penalty save and he also made another cracking save but Portsmouth are on a sh*t run and today was a great opportunity to well and truly put them out of the running for the automatic places. We've created loads of opportunities (throughout the season) but our conversion rate has been pretty poor. Unfortunately our inability to well and truly put teams to bed or just like today take one of possibly 3 good chances could see us miss out on the top two.
Yes but Tuesday was disappointing and another away game to come. As for the unbeaten run, yes it's nice but I hope we don't get too hung up on it. A win and a loss is better than two draws. I know that's obvious maths but it's worth pointing out.
At least we didn't lose. Three and a half hours without a goal. Couldn't break down a woefully out of form side. Our destiny no longer in our own hands.
