It's looking like a case of smoke and mirrors to me. We just have to hope the kidology is that he's not returning next week.
I've no idea. You talk in riddles and seem intent on disagreeing with everyone about everything even if that means contradicting yourself
If you think that is the case, then please explain to me, from my previous posts, about any inconsistencies. And how I've contradicted myself. Then we can have a decent chat.
I certainly think the club have played it down from day one. No surprise - makes sense for competitive and commercial reasons. They’ve never confirmed what his injury was - just what protocol they were following. If it was concussion and a little swelling/bruising, then I don’t know why they haven’t just said that though. As by not saying, makes folk think it’s something more like a Fracture instead. Still, we got promoted with Marley Watkins and Winnall out injured a bit at the latter end of 2016 didn’t we.
Yes but we had used common sense and loaned in Ashley Fletcher and Ivan Toney to give us attacking options. This year we signed a striker for Bradford.
Victor is better than Uncle Toney. So that one is covered. Doubt we could get anyone of Fletcher’s quality to sit on bench as such. We had front 3 covered already. See what you saying, but in all hindsight etc.
I don't think it's hindsight. I and many others were pointing out that we needed an additional striker before the window opened.
To clarify - 2016, I feel we had a gap for Fletcher naturally. Watkins could push out on wing. That makes it easier to get someone of quality in - as there is an instant path to be regular. 2019, I feel with Woodrow, Moore, Brown. Thiam and Victor, any signing wouldn’t have been guaranteed a starting place or much game time - so getting that level of quality in that we needed, may have been more difficult. I think we should have signed someone, my point is, I’m not sure the quality we needed might have been as easy to lure this time round.
I don't think it's a conspiracy. I just don't think the club are telling the whole truth but for very good reasons like not giving promotion rivals a huge boost and not helping the opposition prepare
I couldn't disagree more. Thiam and Brown already have places in the team wide and Victor wouldn't keep anyone out.
Well for the avoidance of doubt, I have seen nothing verifiable to suggest that Moore has a fractured skull. However, he has suffered a head injury, from which it will take medical approval before he can play again.
We used common sense? That's funny because I recall you complaining at the time that we were loaning the young players from other clubs, when we should've been giving the opportunity to our own young players! Now we're doing that (eg. Walton, Williams, Brown, Adeboyejo), we should be loaning players to give us attacking options!
We loaned far too many players in general back then and actually I do seem to recall thinking we should have used our own not Toney but not Fletcher. The problem this year is we don't have the young players ready to come in. I haven't said anything about playing Walton or brown or Williams and I actually like Victor but don't think he's ready to carry the responsibility of having to regularly start just yet. I wouldnt have loaned anyone though unless it was a headline player, I'd have signed someone
Michael Keane was out for a month earlier this season with a fractured skull. It's looking like Moore is going to be out for at least that length of time as well, judging by the “maybe in a couple of weeks” comment by DS tonight. Absences for skull fractures can vary anywhere between 1 month out to career over depending on the severity.
