You get to choose to keep the current party or select from a variety of alternatives.

In the referendum you had a straight choice between the current situation or a different one with no idea what a different one was

Leaving was always going to be messy and above all expensive for the tax payer with little in return . We've dropped a reyt bollock . We should be the most prosperous country in the world but the devisive political system with no cross party compromise continuously holds us back .

You can see the irony of it though. I've no idea what a 2nd referendum would deliver in all fairness, I just think democratically, it's the grown up thing to do at the point of a massive change that will have effects for years.

If you decide to cross the road then see a bus about to run you over would you say to yourself "no I've made my decision" or would you use some common sense?

I'm not so sure. A hell of a lot of people who don't usually vote came out for the leave campaign in Labour areas.

I wouldn't cross the road when a bus was coming , I would make sure the road was clear before stepping off the kerb .

Would you like to share what percentage voted to keep the status quo. It was probably the first vote in years where every vote counted so that sounds democratic to me.

Has anything the brexit maniacs promised come true?
350 million a week to the NHS?
We can sort out trade deals over coffee and cake it would be so easy.
EU would be falling over themselves to give us a good deal.
German manufacturers would never allow anything other than a good deal.
All utter b****x and yet there are idiots saying oh yes we should carry on, it's the will of the people.
When do they start distributing the kool aid?

They’ll cross the road like 17.4 million lemmings chanting “crossing the road means crossing the road”

Apologies for the tone but the sheer idiocy of all this makes me hopping mad.

And while I'm on a rant the only thing that's made Corbyn get his finger out of his a**e and put the good of the country above his own ambition is the spectre of his party fragmenting.
Edit. So in effect he's still ruled by ambition rather than the good of the country.

Tell me about it. It's constantly on the news, the radio, even on my favourite Barnsley FC forum. It's the same arguments over and over and over again. I listen to LBC and James O'Brien has become intolerable, actually he has been intolerable since the day after the vote. I've gone past the point of caring, it has completely drained the political life out of me.

I've become politically homeless due to the quality of MPs on both sides being as low as I can ever remember. Brexit has exposed just how incompetent and self serving most of them are.

It's a complete mess and both sides of the Brexit divide are to blame.

Yes but people are saying it were a flawed campaign , things people thought were lots of money to NHS which was untrue . Some thought it would stop immigration from Pakistan , it didnt.
Some thought millions of Turks and Romanians were gonna swamp the country , they weren’t .
Democracy will still be seen to be done as we will be guided by a vote so if leave wins again we leave . If it doesn’t we stay . It won’t be imposed upon us whichever way it’ll be voted upon . But this time everyone will be more clued up and that’s gotta be more Democratic surely .
