Jackson is a centre back. Don’t you know that centre backs have different skills to strikers. Marlon - have you ever watched football???
Tbf I didn’t say it was our only option just an option to consider . Defenders have been used before as makeshift and some have done good . Obviously Daniel will know better than me but who would you suggest as a big presence in opponents last third with height to lay off ball ?
I know there's no details on what the injury is but, given Kieffer is out for the season, could it be possible that he has some form of fracture? All conjecture and I'm sure the club statement will clear this up.
I wouldn’t hold your breath. Woodrow was out for two weeks - for three months. Moore was out for two weeks - which has turned into at least 6 months given he won’t play until August. I sincerely hope the fella is ok and makes a full recovery, football comes second, but this is a huge blow to us and I’m not certain the club will clarify that much given they haven’t so far. Perhaps now they’ve had to admit he’s out for so long they will.
I wish Kieffer all the best and hope he comes back stronger from this. I think we have to look at free agents but not sure the club will. A lot of pressure on Cauley now but at least a chance for someone to step in whether that’s Adeboyejo, Bahre, Hedges or anyone else. It’s going to be tough (when is promotion not?!) but it’s certainly still on!
Stendel does has he is told.. it was the owners that got us relegated anyway last season by **** poor management,by the fact they thought it was clever to employ your half wit mate jose... Fans were asking and asking for another recognised striker all window, what did we get... a lad from Yeovil and FC United. Also the lad from Bury stayed and Miller who Bradford fans don't want or rate we signed and then had to let go. Not exactly building for the champ are we..
We've stuck Pinnock up top when we've been desperate late on in games. I seem to be remember him heading in an equaliser once doing that.
**** me, some people are all doom and gloom on here. Yes it’s bad news he’s out (hopefully makes a full recovery), but as some others pointed out we have played some cracking football without him in the team and have a great record without him. Not saying we won’t miss him but for pity’s sake give it chance to pan out before you start slating everything about the club. KEEP THE FAITH
It has been said on a few occasions this season that when certain players have got injured/sold that we are doomed yet we are still up there and players like McGeehan and Brown have stepped up so much that they are in with a shart of MoM most weeks, so I have no fear if Victor gets a start or 2 who knows how that will turn out or Hedges/ Green get the go ahead. Bahre I would prefer on the bench.
First of all Get well soon big fella... You will be missed .. Get your feet up and take it easy That said my concern is you can bet your lucky stars either Sunderland or the pikeys will seek out and nobble woodrow... Its Nailed on .... Donny have previous on this if memory serves me right
All the best with your recovery, Kieffer. Your health and well being is paramount. As for replacing him, other players will have to step up to the plate. If other fans have thrown in the towel, that's up to them, but they certainly don't speak for me.
Be reyt then. Someone on twitter has shown that we have 18/24 points without him in the team. Obviously only having one first team striker is a worry but I'm still confident of promotion. Get well soon Kieffer.
