    Christ this is hard work. Do you think policing costs at our games are met by the magic money-tree?? As our arrest rate goes up, so does the bill for policing our games. Which bit of this don’t you understand?

    It really doesn’t matter how the stewards subsequently behaved. If people don’t understand a simple request to stop doing something and show some restraint/common sense, they really need to find summat else to do on a Saturday.

    Ha you’re talking absolute toilet. People get carried away at games, they stood on a chair. Surely if you were working as a steward you’d have enough common sense to not let something like what has happened today happen. It’s just heavy handed for the sake.
    When Wednesday come to oakwell and stand for 90 mins do you reckon our stewards should go wading in like as seen today?

    Our stewards let everything go flares, standing on steel frames in the concourse, smashing the bar up. Standing on seats the wouldn't even bother having a word.

    Yes I'm talking toilet. People claiming to be Barnsley fans fighting with stewards will not increase the perceived risk of trouble at Barnsley games and will not result in more police and stewards being required at future games.

    In fact the club's safety officer was lying to me when he stated that violence and trouble from fans has led directly to higher policing costs and significant loss in revenue from ticket sales too

    Here's a thought process for a normal human being....
    Do I need to stand on this chair....no
    If I do what is likely to happen......the stewards will tell me to get down
    If I dont get down they'll come and enforce it
    This will cause trouble, possibly violence, maybe my arrest, possibly sanctions on my club
    Therefore shall I stand on the chair? ....NO

    It's a thought process that literally takes a micro second for anyone with a brain and an ounce of thoughtfulness for others. It aint hard.
