There's a right and a wrong way to deal with things, just as there's a right and wrong way to behave. You don't go wading in indiscriminately over a minor issue, when innocent people could get hurt. You deal with it later.
Which reflects very badly on the scum doesn't it. Stewards can't go and ask people to behave because the scum will attack and innocent people can get hurt

Talk about knuckledraggers yet you’re still spouting s**t produced 30 year ago to shift the blame from the authorities onto the fans. Educate yourself.
Wow! Step back, bigger picture because there’s an awful lot of virtue signalling going on here by people who weren’t even at the match. A bit of context, we had just had a player sent off, the referee was giving some bizarre decisions and people were getting a bit wound up, after all it was still 0-0 and at this point we looked to be heading towards losing points because of the ref. Drink had been taken. I’d agree that you comply with a stewards request, always, however it was hardly surprising that when stewards appear mob-handed and are screaming into people’s faces and ultimately assaulting someone with a weapon that people react. It was wrong, it shouldn’t have happened, but Southend really need to look at how their stewards intervene in difficult situations. I thought the tit who ran onto the pitch when we scored our first was one of the aggressors, the glee with which 3 of the stewards wrestled him to the ground suggests they thought the same.
I remember blackpool away years ago. Witnessed with my own eyes stewards been bullys. I'm not nieve enough to think just because someone is a steward or a copper they wouldn't throw the punch 1st. By saying you don't think stewards would throw the 1st punch your blaming our fans and you wasn't even there....
Those links don't disprove my point. Everyone who conducted hooligan behaviour has blood on their hands. They led to the disaster
To summarise the 6 plus pages that take up this thread. Those who haven’t been to the game regardless of circumstance describe the actions of the Barnsley’s fans as thick thuggish hooligan lovely people with blood on their hands and caused the Hillsboro disaster. Those who have been to the game, the kid was a bit daft and should have got off the seat but the stewards were bang out of order in how they carried out their duties and were the major protagonists in the scuffling. I’m sure there’s more enjoyable ways to spend a Saturday night than dick measuring on an Internet forum.
Correctly policed = no deaths It’s not a difficult discussion this, there was an inquiry that absolved the fans of any blame for the disaster and the blame was placed on the authorities.
I'll make this simple for you. The SY Police conduct during and after the game was a disgrace. I've posted on here numerous times of my disgust with the behaviour of the police in those times. Irrespective of that...….if there had been no fences then the behaviour of the police that day would have mattered not one jot. The actions of mindless hooligans in the years preceding created the conditions for those deaths and there is no way to deny that they bear some of the blame for the eventual, tragic consequences of their stupidity and selfishness. I guess your reply will be that they were just having a bit of harmless fun.
No it’s not infested at all. There are loads of people who just go about being lawful, some of them a little boisterous at times, but most just enjoying their day/night. I was in Tarn last night, and this bloke, who looked a little rough around the edges shall we say, alerted me to the fact that I had dropped a fiver on the floor. I duly thanked him.
As a footnote to this incident, eye witnesses who I know well and trust are also complaining about the steward reaction.
