Talk comes cheap. No doubt in my mind at all, that we will be up for the game. Need to show some patience and keep things tight at the back. If we do that, we will be OK.
I think we can afford to and will draw. They've lost 2 out of 35 games this season which is utterly ridiculous, but they're below us because they've drawn almost as many as they've won. Can see it being a hard fought 1-1 draw and I'd be absolutely fine with that.
An absolute humdinger of a quote from there: As laughable, given the double we did over them last season, as it is disrespectful.
Funny that people expect Luton to slip up - haven't lost for half a season. They might do, but they're not showing any signs of doing so yet.
I honestly don’t think it’s either now - in the way that even if we lose, that doesn’t mean it’s all over. I remember losing at home to Wolves around this time in the 96/97 season and feeling like it was a knockout blow; but we’ve got a little bit of a lead, plus there’s still 9 games to play where loads can happen, so whatever happens on Tuesday won’t be terminal...
Makes me laugh. Sunderland fans going on at us blaming Burton for frustrating us and are absolutely howling about Wycombe s tactics yesterday. I love the fact they think we'll be a pushover. One of their favoured 1 1 draws at the worst I reckon!
Sunderland need to win more than we.do. A win for us would be great and very useful for our Attempts to finish as champions and makes Sunderland’s chances of catching us smaller though it’s not all over even then. Win for Sunderland would be a blow but nothing we couldn’t recover from. If I had to pick a score though I’d go for 1-1 Just praying for a fair ref but.not hopeful
Aye, in reality it's only 3 points won or lost for either side, with loads more to play for. It's more the psychological impact of Sunderland beating us in front of their large and vocal away contingent that I wonder about. You might be right, maybe our young players don't give a **** about such things.
A point in next two games would not be too bad. That said, i think even with a depleted squad we are capable of winning them both. We seem to be able to pull out results, even when we are not at our best, something I can't remember many Barnsley sides doing over the years.
Mustn’t lose for me . If they beat us it’ll give them a massive boost along with the Wembley build up . A draw won’t be disastrous for either side but leaves us in the driving seat and a win here and at Donny will put us firmly on the home straight ,
I think it’s nearly must win for Sunderland. Still a lot of games to go after it though. A point would be fine for us, even a loss wouldn’t derail us but I think we will beat them to be honest.
I was just thinking about this. I have a very good friend in the DJ world, called Tony Green & his dad is the Tony Green of sixties Blackpool & Newcastle Utd sides, who spoke outside the ground yesterday. I hope the EFL sees sense & doesn't deduct points, but we all know that the words "EFL & sense" rarely go together. If they do lose points it will be a siege mentality at Blackpool & a very hard game to win at that point of the season. Bristol Rovers away could be another one, if they are not safe too.
