    My two penn'orth:

    Tuesday

13:30 Al Dancer/Fakir D’Oudairies Clear on ratings and have both recorded good time performances in victory this season. Both have course and distance victories to their name. Angel’s Breath is a danger but may ideally require further than two miles.
14:10 Duc Des Genievres Fifteen length winner at Gowran Park last time in an exceptional time. Looks better than the English contenders.
14:50 Give Me A Copper Likeliest improver in a competitive race; Paul Nicholls has nursed this one along having previously given him Gold Cup and Grand National entries.
15:30 Apple’s Jade Well ahead of Buveur D’Air on time and form performances this season and Laurina would have to improve a stone to beat her.
16:10 Benie Des Dieux Way ahead of these. A steal if you can get Evens for her.
16:50 Riders On The Storm Looks to have been targeted at this and gets in on a good handicap mark, being a likely further improver. Northern jockey Brian Hughes rides.
17:30 Ballyward Another laid out for a specific race, nicely ahead of these on time and form.

£10 level stakes; stakes split where more than one selection.

This Orsenster person seems to know their stuff, unless they have just copied and pasted it from the Sporting Life or summat!

Angels Breath and Beware the Bear are my picks for Day 1.

For Friday, consider Magic Saint and Lisnagar Oscar (NAP)

Cracking picks orsenkaht. I’ve gone for the same other than I fancy Hardline in the 2.10.

    Morning mate.

I disagree with a few of those, which I the beauty of the game I suppose!

I can't have Al Dancer at all. Won the Betfair Hurdle last time out, but the horses that filled the places were completely unfancied and I think the form isn't great. I've place laid on Betfair (around evens).

Angels Breath seems to be the most talented horse in the race but a lack of experience would worry you. If he does win, the Southfield Stone who he finished 2nd behind is a fair bet in the County Hurdle on Friday. Henderson really like him and he's not usually wrong.

I like Grand Sancy - a bit more battle hardened than some and unusually a second season novice. But he brings open graded form to the race.

    --

Hardline is a cracking bet in the Arkle - so many question marks about the others.

    --

In the Ultima I was originally against Give Me A Cooper, but he's drifted to a tasty 8/1 and I can't let him go unpacked at that price. I'll be backing Singlefarmpayment to place again too.

    --

If anything can give 7lbs and beat Apple's Jade then they're .the second coming.

    --

No interest in the mares race. Will probably lay the favourite. The race fell into her lap last year as the front runners set a suicidal pace. May do Roksanna actually- her comeback run was full of promise over an inadequate trip.

    --
Good Man Pat is the bet of the day. Took the 16s last night. Finished 5 lengths behind a horse rated 157 last time out and gets to run off 139 today. I expect him to **** in.

    --

Agree with Ballyward - reminds me of Back In Focus who won the same race for the same connections a few years back.

    --

    In conclusion.....

    Grand Sancy - 1.30
    Hardline- 2.10
    Give Me A Cooper- 2.50
    Apple's Jade - 3.30
    No Bet - 4.10
    Good Man Pat - 4.50
    Ballyward - 5.30

    Good luck all.

Sporting Life, Racing Post and Timeform are all taken into consideration Willtom but the opinions and brief comments are entirely mine - written on Sunday immediately after the final declarations came out. Of course they are based on the same form and facts abut each runner, so it may appear that the Life or the Post have plagiarised me! My comments on tomorrow's are already written!

Totally agree Fonzie - it's a game of opinions! By 5.45 pm we'll probably all be none the wiser but better informed!

I'd just about make Apple's Jade my nap today. The 7 lb allowance makes a big difference but her bare form and time figures look in advance of Buveur D'Air's, and don't forget he has already been beaten by a mare this season!

Interesting comments on the Supreme Novices'. I do think there may not be too much between Al Dancer, Angel's Breath, Klassical Dream and Fakir D'Oudairies, but I tend to think Grand Sancy - well though he's done - may not have the further improvement potential of the first four named. Angel's Breath has had less racing and may have most to come, but I do like the fact that Al Dancer and Fakir D have a C/D win to their name. I agree that you can pick at Al Dancer's win form last time but I think it was the manner of his victory that looked particularly impressive. It didn't look that that race had anywhere near got to the bottom of him.

Agree that Benie Des Dieux is not a bet at the prices, although I think she'll win doing handsprings.

Good Luck to you too Fonzie.

I know a bloke who stands to win about 30k if Apple's Jade wins. He's been backing her to small stakes all winter whilst she was massive prices on Betfair - the owners were originally targeting her at the Mares Hurdle. The highest price he got matched at was 60 on there - he's a very, very nervous/excited man. He's laid about a grand back so he's got a nice chunk even if she loses - but 30k is proper life changing stuff.

    Fingers crossed.

Interesting stuff Fonzie. I'd have been nervous after BD's Newcastle win (effortless) but perhaps less so after his Kempton and Sandown runs. I still remember that stunning Aintree win (41 lengths) of Apple's Jade's. Fair to say my financial interest in her today will have me slightly less on edge than your mate's!

I have gone for Al Dancer in the first taking the Skybet offer of a refund upto twenty quid. It's 4/1 so either it's hundred quid or my twenty back.
