What a ****** up mess it is starting to become. In recent years weve had the abuse scandal... which was an open secret within football it seems right to the top. Weve had tax frauds sex offenders and killers kept in the game with the support and pats on the back from fellows still involved. Theres countless players up and down the country who should be nicknamed hoover due to extra ciricular acitvities. A blind eye is turned while they continue their £1M plus basic annual wage. Theres countless footballers who are hooked on gambling. Nothing is said yet more bookie sponsership is welcomed. Theres football club sales sanctioned by the powers that be that should have never passed fit & proper. You can see the tumbleweed passing before those in the game or those no longer involved. Boltons on its arse. Barring a few soundbites.. nothing. Blackpools been a shitstain of a club over recent years... not batted an eyelid. Theres child slavery bribes and corruption through out the game. The silence is deafening. One of their own gets attacked and the ranks close en mass in condemnation from fines points to armed guards to mow invaders down.
What’s happening in football is a reflection on what’s happening in society in general. It’s a free for all grab what you can and bugger the consequences . It’s happening at the top of society with very few checks or morals in place. Philip Green was only stoppped by others pressuring there were no legal restrictions ,even Reece Mogg is in on the act . The only people who are trying to halt the free fir all get branded looney lefties etc of which you have also been guilty if spouting and the friends in the media help them with the slurs .
The racist right. The loonie left. The crazy centerists. While that trough is full theyll eat. Theres **** all difference between the overwhelming majority of those other than the rosette they wear.
Reference : "The abuse scandal." Regarding the countless victims of Barry Bennell, just been reading that the owners of Manchester City Football Club, have laid aside millions of pounds and are soon to start meeting with their former Youth footballers who have claimed that they suffered sexual abuse at the hands of the vile predator who was on their coaching staff. Each individual will recieve a personal heartfelt written apology and in a genuine attempt to avoid causing the further trauma of having their experiences aired in Court, City's Legal representatives, hope to be able to mutually agree adequate financial compensation with each of the unfortunate victims. Conservative estimates are that some of the settlements could run into six figures. If they don't wish to settle, the Club will emphasise that each former trainee, reserves the right to have their case heard in a Court of Law.
I don't often see eye to eye with the op but he's right. The way football is run is an absolute scandal.
