It demonstrates the absolute dire straits this once proud nation is in, when the most inept Prime Minister I personally can recollect in my lifetime up to press, is still clinging to power and the Tory masses are probably getting ready to replace her ( if they can) by installing the bumbling politician who is unable to keep his trousers up, Boris Johnson or even worse than that, Gove. God help us. We have become a laughing stock and it's about time the Sovereign pulled the plug on the whole sorry mess, so we can start again with a Government who hopefully will put the electorate first instead of their own naked political ambition.!!! ( A pigs just flown over my head.!)
I voted leave. So i'll give it a pass. Do we even know if the lady who started it still lives full time in the UK, or just an expat in a little Greek village who doesn't want to lose her benefits of being in the EU?
Don't believe there is a suitable PM amongst either of the front benches. Got to be someone fresh for me. All the brexit supporting figureheads have blown any prospect I think, Corbyn ia big no, Vince Cable on his way out anyway and wouldn't offer anything anyway.. None of the ones that left for independent group business either..
Although I am a traditional Labour supporter, sadly, I dont think the Party would get the support needed to form a Government now especially in the traditional Tory heartlands, because sections of " the media" have negatively influenced sections of the electorate in those areas. Tony Blairs constant meddling is not helping either. Watched a programme last night, that suggested it might be time for a " new" political party to come to the fore to break the stranglehold of the traditional stale two party system.
It’s Ill informed statements as this that that we need a second ref to put these fairy tales to bed imo
If I had the desire to put money on someone. I would chuck a tenner on Sajid Javid becoming the next tory leader.. altho generally a eurosceptic he backed remain so could appeal to a wider section of their MP's than most others. Tories are still most likely to win a Gen election at present time IMO so he could be the next PM.
I can download some nice software free as well which will generate spam emails like they are going out of fashion to concurrent emails.. Eg marlon1@ Marlon2@ A basic autofill form like the petition forms are a piece of piss for a half qualified it geek. I suspect a couple of 13 year olds in Halifax are laughing their **** taches off.
If you have a gmail address, putting a ‘.’ between the characters make it unique but still deliver to the same address. anonymous@gmail.com a.nonymous@gmail.com an.onymous@gmail.com ano.nymous@gmail.com anon.ymous@gmail.com anony.mous@gmail.com Etc..
Makes you wonder how many would have signed by now (over 1 million in less than 24hrs) if the site hadn't kept crashing. Obviously Leavers and their Russian mates would never contemplate multiple signing on a leave petition
In that case everything on the internet is void ? Conspiracies eh . There’s only one way to go a second ref . Sorts everything out
Am I correct in thinking that if the referendum had been binding, instead of advisory, it would have been declared illegal due to overspending? I’m sure I read this somewhere. In other words, it was bent, and that’s why some us will never accept the outcome. In fact, anyone who genuinely believes in democracy should never accept the outcome.
What if a second referendum brings the same result ? Do we wait another 3 years to get it through the HOC . If there's a different result, many brexiteers would demand a third . It's an ever decreasing perpetual 0-0 draw .
Actually, and notwithstanding your obvious concern for your son's well being which I sympathise with, the NHS actually cited Brexit "uncertainty, stockpiling and subsequent pricing issues rather than Brexit itself". Living in Italy, I have on a couple of occasions in the last year or two experienced issues with the Pharmacy having great difficulty locating and obtaining a specific medicine I require which had nothing to do with Brexit. Ultimately, all the reports of 'this and that' running out (the latest being toilet paper and tissue) seem to assume the EU and the Governments are in control of business and commerce. If people genuinely believe (which they did), reports all trains and planes may not be able to cross between UK and Europe (not forgetting UK Airspace over the Atlantic would similarly force Transatlantic routes from Europe to go North and the long way round) then more fool them. No businesses would tolerate that for more than a day or so and EU would be forced to make concessions/emergency waivers to address the problems. Yes, there have been huge lies told by Leave, but equally some of the nonsense came from Remain camp (Ex-Pats wont be able to get their UK pensions paid was one and even mass deportations was mentioned early on!!) £1tn is a good headline but given the size and strength of the UK financial sector it is not quite as dramatic as it sounds and again it is the uncertainty short to medium term that is the problem.
Project fear told more lies about what would happen than the one on the side of the bus, you lost, respect democracy and get on with it, stop whining and take it on the chin, move on face.
