    To an extent peformances go out of the window at this time of the season, it's all about results! That's a massive win and puts the pressure back on Sunderland!

    Because we really, really were! Apart from a few heart in mouth moments I never really thought we were going to lose but we looked like we could have played until next week and not scored.

    Didn't look like we could buy a goal. Hopefully we kick on from here now. The gap of 5 points will place the pressure on Sunderland.

    Walton did excellent today. Came off his line well too to clear the ball a few times.

    We left ourselves exposed at the back and let them counter us, relying on their ineptitude in finishing as much as anything. Strange approach to the game from us, which Walsall couldn't capitalise on.

    Ben Williams couldn't handle their winger, but saved us with a clearance off the line.
    Our centre backs were ace.
    Walton made some fine last ditch saves.

    Somehow we won.

    We were extremely lucky, but grinding out results are what champions are made of. (Just a pity we’re in a division with Luton at the moment)

    Williams clearing off the line, and I honestly don’t think there was anything wrong with their goal in the first half. Plus Walton has pulled off some blinders.

    But in the end you can’t fault the lads for not giving up until the final whistle, could’ve easily folded and took a point with how today went. But finally a goal and ANOTHER clean sheet is bloody fantastic.
