Play poorly, deserve to lose, scrape a slightly poxy late winner. Man Utd won title after title getting similar results. Hopefully the momentum and euphoria we’ve gained today will carry us through.
Let's be honest we were woeful . I'm ecstatic about the result but apart from Lindsey and Pinnock and maybe Cavare the rest were awful . Our passing was atrocious which allowed Walsall to counter at will . Apart from that 3 massive points COYBR .
I wouldn't say dog **** just less worse than the rest . Bahre gets dogs abuse but he was no worse than a few others . As a team were all over the place at the minute .
Walsall set up to defend and hit us on the break. Whenever teams have done that we've struggled to break them down.
Our ball retention up front needs more work. This will obviously help stem the counter- attacking. We don’t hold the ball anywhere long enough up top at times.
My exultant cries of "That's why we're going up" after the goal sums it up. That could be a killer in the promotion race.
Didn't see the game, but happy with the win. As OP says, winning teams can pox a result. Are Wycombe the last team to score against us?
I think we're missing Moore badly, and there is an inconvenient truth that we did not handle the January transfer period appropriately.
Not our best performance by any stretch of the imagination but we were the only team trying to play football. Walsalls idea of counter attack was to lump the ball forward into the space left by our full backs pushing high up the pitch but nevertheless it was effective. Special mention to Jack Walton who had by far his best game in a Barnsley shirt but overall job done . At this stage of the season winning is all that matters, I'll take another 7 poxy wins between now and the end of the season. COYR!!!
Man of the match for me. If Adam doesn’t sign a new contract looks like we have a decent replacement albeit on the back of limited games so can’t be 100% but looked good today. A win is a win at the minute despite the performance.
His shot stopping looked ok, he's quite small and struggles to fight through a crowd of players to get the ball at set pieces. Hopefully he can work on his physicality.
