Just watched the final whistle celebrations from yesterday and Cavare seems to be wearing a sports bra. Is this the secret?
Harness to carry the kit they need for post-match data analysis. Records all sorts of data which is then hooked up to the ZX81 back at Oakwell
They all wear them it records data I remember when Potts scored that goal last season were he took his shirt off and a similar thread was made.
It's because he flounced about alot during our relegation. He then became an overnight sensation before his move to Preston. Stendel n' Winkler never rated him in centre midfield and shoe horned him out to the wing. Every one cried rape when he left but we signed two wingers to replace him and his departure made way for Brown who has been a revelation thus far.
They’ve all worn them for a few years now. Remember seeing somewhere under hecky that there was a fine for players not wearing them in training/matches
They are used to record heart rate to +/- 1 bpm and maybe the distance covered. I'm not sure about the accuracy for distance covered as GPS doesn't like high buildings, sharp turns and short sprints. It must be very expensive sophisticated kit to measure speed and distance over short distances I have just Googled it and the tracker is inbetween the shoulder blades it didn't mention a heart rate monitor function.
They're all robots and are remote controlled by Keith Hill in the stands, those are the battery packs. Earlier this season one malfunctioned causing the player to land and nut the floor another one completely malfunctioned, the battery charge would never go past 60% so they ****** it off to Luton.
I’ve worn them before playing matches. Just to record distance travelled, top speed, work rate etc. The device fits between the shoulder blades and is held there by the “bra”. Makes you look a bit hunch back.
Hope they use duracell batteries otherwise they'll be like those fluffy rabbits on the advert, they'll stop part way through the session.
I'm curious as to how accurate they are as the GPS unit I have, Polar RC3, doesn't like high buildings, trees, sharp turns and is poor measuring speed over short distances. It gives me a short distance in Locke Park at parkrun. I saw one of these trackers for sale at £170 and my RC3 was £270 but I didn't pay that as I bought it in a sale.
