The EU rules already cover that...our country just doesn't use them.

i've just told you why not, same as no other country implements their silly fcukin policies, the capitalists and multi nationals need immigration so they call the shots.

the germans needed mass immigration because they are falling short of workers, so merkel, who now admits she screwed up let them in in their thousands

whats the point of being in their club if you dont implement their policies, this shifting the blame to the uk government wont wash

i'll ask again, which member states have actually stopped open door uncontrolled immigration ?

And I'll say again....what will leaving the EU change ...It's the companies etc that run things and get to ignore the rules that are there which is what it seems you are also saying.

and the following is the last paragraph from your article

Ultimately, putting politics or economic theory aside, most will agree that this crisis needs to come to an end. At the end of the day, recent years have taken a severe toll on the Greek population. Greece is now the third poorest country in the EU, behind Bulgaria and Romania, and recent Eurostat data shows that more than 22% of the population were “materially deprived” in 2015. And while poverty figures have been dropping sharply in the ex-communist Balkan states, Greece’s numbers have doubled since 2008.

So unless something is done soon, the Greek situation may evolve from an economic crisis to a humanitarian one.

what i will ask you is why on earth we need a political union and a european parliament to trade

we traded freely with europe before the eu parliament was forced upon us, the whole shebang costs billions and is not needed.. we trade all over the world without such burden so i see no reason we need to put up with it anymore.
i despise the tories but cannot understand why an elected leader has to answer to an unelected commissioner

i'll maintain what i've always said and that is had the common market remained just that then there would be little need for this debate

It doesn't. What does is electing UK Governments that will actually do something about it, rather than the usual careerist politicians terrified to actually do anything for fear of being branded a racist by the BBC/Guardian. However being free of the EU's interference can only help in this regard.

I have tried marlon, but unfortunately you may be right. Maybe I shouldn’t try to debate with someone who starts name calling when they can’t think of anything to say...

Changing the subject from A50 for a moment, you're obviously interested in the Spanish Civil War...I've been doing some research on a fatal air crash in Doncaster in 1937.
The plane that went in was an Airspeed Courier one of only 9 built, and sold to a Republican front company by Airspeed. The fascist spies got to hear about the sale and used all means to block the sale, which they did.
Undeterred Airspeed sold them singly to other front companies who tried to get them to Spain, two Airspeed employees 'stole' one from the factory, but crashed on takeoff...two others crashed near the French/Spanish border ( they had to refuel in France) and one got through but was captured by the Nationalists...the Courier (not Envoy as wiki has it) was used as the personal transport of Franco's main rival General Mola...it crashed, killing him and left Franco with no rivals.
What was interesting about the Doncaster one, is that it was sold to a new company, North Eastern Airlines, who only had two routes...up north and Paris. My suspicion is that it might have gone to France legitimately and somehow not returned. I might be reading too much into it but the pilot, Idwal ap Ieuan Jones, came from a small village in Wales that seems to have been sympathetic to the Republic, in fact one of Jones neighbours/classmates had been killed in Spain.
