If we miss out on the top two and have to go down the play off route would it be remotely possible that Kieffer would have had sufficient recovery time to be able to be involved in the playoffs?
Also, what about George Miller, currently on loan at Bradford? would he be eligible for the play-offs? Not that it will matter as we're going up automatically anyway...
Have thought the same, but imagine its more beginning of next season rather than end of this one. Would also imagine George Miller is a 1st of July (or June?) job.
I think he would be. Sounded like it would be touch and go whether he'd make the end of the season, so I think its a distinct possibility. Would give everyone (players and fans) such a lift too, which we'd undoubtedly need after missing out on automatic.
All I read on the other teams forums is how were struggling for goals and likely to slip up. As far as they're concerned, Moore is our best player and they're pinning their hopes on us not getting over the line. Of course we're missing him, but to suggest he's our best player is taking it a bit far, but imagine what a hammer blow it would be to the others if he was passed fit and available to play again this season. Failing Moore returning, I would welcome a good, creative performance against Coventry at the weekend. That would go a long way towards calming our nerves and deflating the others.
I know mate! I was really feeling it on Saturday. Fine driving down, but as the match wore on everyone seemed frustrated. The goal celebrations pretty much showed how pent up everyone had become.
I do like "silly sausage". Very underrated and underused on football forums. "Twerp" is another of my favourites. So much better than triggering the swear filter
The guy in front of me at the match loudly informed their keeper that he was a "time wasting twit", which I really enjoyed. Personally I thought that was a bit strong, I'd have called him a wally.
We have won four and draw 4 without moore. The 4 draws were Sunderland, pompey,Donny and Burton 2 points per game if we keep that up we won't be caught.
I guess as part of the original loan, it would have been end of season inc playoffs. When we signed him and renewed the loan, Bradford had no chance of the playoffs, so they may have altered the end date to the last season game.
I'm going ultra anti PC here, but I don't give a ****. The lad got a bang on the head but has recovered and after hearing him in the commentary box and im reading between lines he thinks he should be playing, me too . Doctors advice is a smoke screen for the insurance company telling BFC it could be costly .
Do you think 2 ppg will be enough? Same as 4 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat. 14 points. Sunderland have 9 games left, and I can see them not losing any given they’ve only lost 2 all season. They also win more than they draw. 6 wins and 3 draws would give them 21 points and they’d finish 2 ahead of us. 5 wins and 4 draws would mean we finish above them on GD. I think it would be tight.
You may well be right, I'm sure everyone at the club would like him on the pitch too. But if that were the case and we couldn't insure him it would be irresponsible to play him.
Much depends on whether he gets reassessed and told he's ok to play. Then we're in business. I can't believe the club would just write him off until next season if he's training and still being part of the day to day stuff.
I think we need to win most of our games to have a chance as well, although I think this weekend will have a big bearing on things.
