my comment about musicians was not to say how many are or are not pro leave or remain, it was merely to show that those who voted leave are of the opinion they did so with no deal,i've yet to see any leave voter say otherwise. just out of interest what problems do you think bands from outside the eu encounter when touring europe? and what problems do you think european bands encounter when touring outside of the union? bands from all over the world tour all over the world without great difficulty and that will continue
no i'm not, what i'm telling you (again) is that all the leaver voters i know/encounter are prepared to leave with no deal, i do not know (yet) of anyone that voted leave on the provision of a 'deal' this country has 6 million trade union members, i've no idea what percentage voted remain
How many former Leavers do you know now prefer to revoke? Look at @RemainerNow, plenty of people switched from Leave to Remain since the referendum. And how many of them would admit it to you while privately changing their opinion?
BTW, the most recent polling is showing a decline in people admitting to voting Leave. Only a few %, which may be a statistical error, but it has been ~1% every couple of months.
scoff,i dont know anyone who's changed their mind on leaving, if i did i'd tell you i've no idea what remainer now is but will do some research i listen to and watch politics all the time and so far on all these programmes i've yet to encounter a leaver who is now a remainer,i'm just being honest here pal, if you've any other evidence then fair enough,
kin ell scoff , polls had us staying in the eu, it wasnt until the exit polls started coming in that they realised how wrong they were i'll just add to this... on the day of the referendum this board was full of hope that we were remaining and i came on and said that if speaking to everyone who was going to vote was anything to go by we would be leaving as that day practically everyone was saying they were voting leave, i was shot down on this board as living in cloud cuckoo land. my shop is next to the school where the ballot boxes are and this is why i got to speak to so many people
Can I ask how you know? I can’t remember putting my date of birth on the form, or anything else for that matter. Maybe you’re thinking of the polls? Be careful though, they predicted landslide remain.
I think it was Monday or Tuesday this week, the James O'Brien show on LBC was full of former Leavers who had changed their mind. https://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/james-obrien/james-obrien-show-leavers-now-remainers/ RemainerNow is https://twitter.com/remainernow?lang=en There is evidence of a lot of people are reconsidering - no doubt some are also in the other direction. Lots of entrenched views, but any future referendum would turn on the abstainers first time and the new voting demographics.
for starters theres no guarantee that abstainers would vote leave,LBC is predominantly london,an area with very few leave voters, so its hardly surprising it was 'full' of leavers who've changed their minds This notion about people who've died since the election, now for me its all a bit presumptuous int it? do we know that the right people have popped their clogs? what if they were all remain voters? what if they didnt vote at all? these attempts to nullify the referendum are getting a bit desparate scoff and i would love to have seen and heard the reactions of those who were marching in london had the boot been on the other foot and it were the leave side clutching at straws, it really is ridiculous, i know you dont agree but by heck, it really is getting beyond a joke. The media, particularly the guardian, the last bastion of impartiality , should hang its head in shame as they try every last way to discredit the referendum. I could understand it if the labour party had took us into europe but it wasnt,it was the tories , then it was thatcher and major that entrenched us even further, using the social charter to soft soap the masses into thinking that the eu capitalists are looking after them.. https://morningstaronline.co.uk/art...sed-for-holding-britain-to-ransom-over-brexit this makes interesting reading sorry for editing, but with reference to ages and who voted and what for, I'M in my 50's and i voted leave, my dad, in his 80's voted remain, my step daughter, (who works in the police force and attended uni), is 24, she voted leave, these demographics and polls can be wrong is all i'm trying to say
she irish bri, and hunting is still legal there, she was also chair of countryside alliance for a few years
This is the thing. If it was the other way around, I guarantee leave voters would be clamouring for a 2nd vote. People only want what they consider 'democracy' when it suits them
Then why the fook is she a MP in the UK parliament , and despite the fact that she is a foreigner she cant ignore UK law
All this argument is based on this - The European Union Referendum Act 2015 (c. 36) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that made legal provision for a pre-legislative advisory referendum to be held in the United Kingdom and Gibraltar, on whether it should remain a member state of the European Union or leave it. the leavers won albeit on a small majority and then those in power said they would implement the decision and negotiate deal with the EU , We had a snap election when everyone was aware of this and although the tories lost their majority ,they clung onto power by bribing the 10 members of an irish loyalist party .who did not even represent the majority of voters in NI , Surely at this point those who voted leave in the referendum should have smelt a rat ,and voted for a party or parties who were a genuinely leave party (UKIP) So you only have yourselves to blame . Since when have politicians not told porkies , you leavers have all been suckered by May and now you are blaming everyone and their dog for your lack of judgement , and to top it all ,when Parliament asserts its authority ie exerts its sovereignty then you all go ballistic , the irony cannot be hidden or did most of you just vote to get rid of Johnny foreigner
I think you're completely wrong, Farage, as the leader of a single issue party might have carried on but I feel certain the rest of us would have accepted the matter as closed. I tried to go back on my posts from the evening of the referendum, when early indications were that Remain had won...I seem to remember putting a post of acceptance and conciliation on..unfortunately I can't go back that far on this tablet,
Good, they need to feel ashamed. I made some (ill conceived I admit) call to brand every leave voter so that everyone knew who was responsible for our country’s decline but somebody predictably likened it to the Jews and the Holocaust. This is the kind of dangerous rhetoric the right wingers seem to want to use to try and make us look bad.
You're fooling nobody. You're clearly a Brexiteer trying to make Remainers look like loonies. And you're not very good at pretending.
because she's northern irish which is part of the uk yer wazzok lol fox hunting and hunting with dogs is legal in NI and she is a supporter.
