Introducing The Reds Membership... Ticket News Barnsley FC are delighted to introduce a new membership scheme ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. Continue reading on the official site...
Wow, and you thought Brexit was confusing? I remrmber the feedback being that anything other than simple ticket pricing and a lack of categories has not worked in the past and has put people off. This might go the same way. So many questions, ie can you buy a season ticket without buying a standard membership?
What's Different? We are rebranding our season ticket offering to not only give supporters more value for money, but also bring supporters closer to the Club than ever before. Reds Pride - A standard membership for the 2019/20 season. One payment of £25 will bring a number of benefits, ideal for those supporters who are unable to commit to a full season. Reds Reserved - This will work exactly the same as a regular season ticket, however the package comes with a members welcome pack, a pre-determined amout of loyalty points and a host of other benefits for no extra cost! Reds Reserved+ - Our 'season ticket upgrade' option is the final category of membership. For an additional £15 (Reds Reserved + £15), members will recieve an upgraded welcome pack, additional loyalty points, enrolment into the 'Oakwell Moments' scheme and much more. More information will be released in the coming days, explaining each tier of membership in detail.
This is absolutely superb. Night and day from the previous regime. It feels like after years in flux we’re finally a proper football club again.
Don't understand why they can't tell us exactly what the meaning of 'Loyalty Points' and 'Welcome Packs' and 'Oakwell Moments' schemes are as well as what you would get from being a standard member. Am I missing something from the animation which doesn't seem to work unless you have subscribed to iFollow? All just feels very gimmicky, Marketing bullshitty and corporate and very un-Barnsley.
Totally agree, exciting to see what the additional news is going to be. Let’s just hope that the membership+ doesn’t include a replica shirt, the club shop would sell out before the kit is even designed I’m already excited for next season, and I’ve got a lot of nails to bite and sweat to pour for the remainder of this one get.
REDS !!! Is that the Reds of Manchester, Nottingham or Liverpool !?!?! Another marketing open goal well and truly MISSED!!!
They've just released a thing explaining loyalty points, plus there not the hard, people with more loyalty points get first access to away games.
Not everyone can afford a season ticket so something that you can pay and allows you up the pecking order for tickets seems a good use a to me.
I’m so confused. Glad we’re trying something but I honesty don’t understand. What are the age related things in the welcome pack? How will those who buy the super special platinum membership be identifiable to other fans?
You get 1 point for buying an away ticket and 70 for buying the top level thing I think? There’s not enough away games for you to make up that shortfall so you have to purchase the more expensive thing for each one point to then start to make a difference on top.
But what was wrong with the older, simpler system? Also it penalises fans who can't just buy tickets willy nilly as soon as they're released. Some of us need to wait until payday which may mean we lose loyalty points even though we still pay the same price for tickets and cost of travel. That's an idea which doesn't appreciate the economic realities of much of our fanbase.
The animation works for me and I don’t have iFollow. The Loyalty Points are got away ticket priority - it’s clear from the animation which I get that you can’t see.
Not really sure people paying £25 to then have to attend 6 games before getting the 7th free isn’t going to be much of a driver to get people to Oakwell. Seems like a little opportunity to get some money from fans who mainly attend away games rather than home games to be able to get priority. Not sure why the club haven’t waited until all the finer details are worked out before announcing the whole thing properly.
