Is it just a giant pub? If so, a retrograde step. And seemingly against the interests of some very long-standing supporters.
He's referring to the supporters with mobility issues who are having to park further away because of it.
Hopefully our club will look after the interests of our less able fans who are worried about their parking spot. I wouldn't want their routine disturbed for the sake of a big tent being put there. I'm absolutely certain our club will do all they can for those that now have to move but can't walk far.
Ah ok, but we probably need to understand the scale of the problem and see how the club deal with that before deciding there is a problem that should block progressing the match day experience. My experience of the club in recent years is that they wouldn't let this become an issue.
Gally, is it going to be something along the lines of what Reading have on matchdays? I was impressed with the number and variety of food outlets, toilets and outside bar area (even though it was too cold for me to fancy drinking outside). Also, Brighton had a lot going on at their place.
I believe it's along those lines. Haven't heard the full detail yet of what's planned, hoping to hear more in the next couple of weeks. Sounds like what a lot of people have asked for though and sounds exciting to me.
Not sure do you show your home ticket or season card to get in,in ideal world be nice to mingle amicably with away fans but would that be wise
I don't know. They are at Reading. We were welcome at Accrington to their facilities but if we did I'd have thought it would be fixture dependant. Can't see that happening in a local derby for instance.
The 'Fan Zone' is a post-apocalyptic nutopian construct where retrograde legions of undead 'fans' are allowed to congregate in a given space as a means of pacifying their instinct for cameraderie and tribal loyalty. Once inside the fan zone they are then fed a constant loop of Des O'Connor and Leonard Cohen songs in order to desensitize them so that when unleashed onto the terraces of their favorite football club they will applaud, cheer and sing rousing masculine songs of their own in support of their Saturday heroes. Hope this helps.
