Empire of the Senseless - Mekons Ship of Fools - World Party Exit Music (For a Film) - Radiohead Extricate - The Fall
Burnel's solo album is worth a listen. I hadn't heard it since 1979, but rediscovered it on Spotify recently. Although it's slightly dated, it's still an interesting album, and gives some clues to Burnel's influence on some of The Stranglers' less conventional tracks. The re-issued CD also includes a live recording from one of JJ's solo concerts at around the same time.
There’s an album of that date by them but the Mekons song pre-dates it by a few years. If I knew how I’d put it up - great tune.
The racist thugs in parliament square show brexit up for what it is. If I still lived in London I’d go for a scrap.
Loved the Mekons went to see em loads of times they always seemed to be playing with the the 3 Johns. Used to love a bounce round Rooftops to those 2.
This is for you lovers of Soul This is the original, the feelgoods covered it & went to No 1 in the album charts in 1976
