OK so we seem to be slipping up a tad in the fight for automatic promotion, but I’m not one to let negativity get in the way because I believe there is always a silver lining in every cloud. In the unfathomable event that we don’t go up at least we’ll get to play Rotherham next season, a guaranteed 6 points right from the off. Come on lads and Wombwell Red, lets have some positivity this Satdi neyt. #Posityke
It's been a whole year since we've lost at Oakwell there is plenty to be cheerful about, no team have done the double over us this season either.
That’s why I said if we don’t go up. Hopefully Barnsley’s fortunes don’t end up like my todger, unable to get up at the final hurdle.
I know yesterday was disappointing but we did get another point, which at the end of the season might be enough, we're still second and our rivals are facing tougher run ins and more games to catch and overtake us, with worse goal differences. IF we finish third or fourth, that's still a good season isn't it? It's been entertaining and everyone will have learnt from it. IF we then don't go up, we have a plan and are financially secure. Lots of players will leave but except for Davies we'll get money for them and can rebuild. If you cast your mind back to Derby last year, wouldn't we have thought where we are now and what we have seen this year would be fantastic? We can still do this. We're Barnsley, we don't do things the easy stress free way.
We ve been spoiled at Oakwell this season. A win would have been fantastic but the lads are fighting every game and that's all we can ask for.
If we don't go up it will be a disaster and could put us back 3 years . Losing all our best players and starting from scratch isn't something I'm looking forward to .
It's not something I'd like to see either but it's not the end of the world. As RedHelen said all we can expect is them to fight for every point, and they're doing that. If other teams end up with more points that's life.
couldn't agree more! i'm as disappointed as the rest but we're still unbeaten and have had to cope with key player injuries and suspensions but we are still in the mix for automatic promotion the mackems haven't won their games in hand yet and need to do so to catch us! have faith and get behind the boys!!
Nope. I can’t see any positives. We had 1001 shots at goal and scored 2. Coventry had 2 shots and scored 2. We have a powder puff strike rate.
we had 14 shots to coventry's 5 with 5 each on target i'd be more concerned if we weren't making chances and surely the positive is we didn't lose the game
