Rumors that senior players have already fallen out with Jan Siewert,he also hasn't promised he will stay beyond the end of this season. They are in for a big summer and need a huge squad overhaul. It's going to be hard for them to shake off all the negativity, if they don't hit the ground running at the start of next season it could be another season of struggle for them. If Siewert leaves along with Winkler anyone think Stendel would want him back as assistant?
you may closer to the truth than you think, if we fail to go up (also grabs Tin hat and hides in the cellar)
Speaking from a position of no knowledge at all I doubt Stendel would just take Winkler back, though it does depend I guess on exactly on what terms they parted. I got the impression Stendel wasnt to impressed that Winkler jumped ship and if so I think there is no chance he would take him back. If however he left with Stendels blessing to take a chance in the Prem and they are still on good terms I suppose its possible - though we seem to have done OK without him
Why would they take a 3rd division manager who couldn't get a side with one of the best budgets and squads out of the league below them. They would be more likely to come for him if we do go up I would have thought - but even then its doubtful.
hopefully we will breaking out the fizz at the end of the season. Another trip to Wembley would be nice..... but more of a nail biter, I would much prefer and hope for automatic.
Stendel hasn't achieved anything with us yet, so the idea that a current premiership side would want him in charge of their parachute payments is silly even on April Fools Day. Winkler I wouldn't want back. He made his choice and we wish him luck, but we have moved on and I like the idea of Stendel being helped by someone who knows the club really well. If the head coach bottles it after only a few months, Huddersfield won't be short on applicants to help spend the 43 million pound parachute cash. I will credit Dean Hoyle for using the premier league money wisely. The club will have no money worries and he won't be daft enough to chase the dream because he's a sensible man. Plus he's building a 20 million pound training ground which will be their long term legacy from their two seasons in the top flight, so when players come and go they have something to show from their time in the top tier.
Surely winning League One Manager of the Year makes him a prime candidate for most jobs in the Championship if they come up? He'll be on the radar of a lot of teams I'm sure, regardless of promotion. And an interview will give them all the insight in to what they'll want to know.
