    Decent read, and they're as fickle a set of fans as most (Jack Ross public enemy No.1 Sunday teatime is now a genius!) Enjoy reading the stuff on there, generally, and their theory that we're choking is possibly true - time will tell - but this post was just bizarre;

"The Barnsley manager is cracking and starting to hoy his toys around.

He's one dodgy penalty away from going over the edge"

Is he? Based on what?? Not sure you'd find a more polar opposite to this than Stendel!

He's the most likeable manager we've had in years, never has a bad word to say about opposition players, managers or officials and clearly gets on brilliantly with his team. The Marra is chatting *****.

Considering he’s lost his major first team players to long term injuries. Sold a couple of fringe players that we haven’t really replaced and lost his assistant months ago he’s never thrown a paddy once. They are mistaking passion for anger. He’s one of the most positive people I’ve ever seen in charge of our club.

Thing his Sunderland fans are split on Jack Ross now. Wait and see if they go up as they are going to struggle big time next season. They aren’t going to be able to relying on draws most weeks to keep them up as they are going to lose many more games next year and the TV money won’t cover the parachute payments they lose next year.

No doubting that, just questioning their weird assessment of the gaffer.

As a Sunderland supporter I can't honestly see where that assessment of your manager has came from tbh.

Ayup Spender. Question for you, fella: how do you register for those forums?? Been trying for a few weeks - since before the game at Oakwell - but despite confirming the email link, I've not had any joy. Can log in, but can't post 'owt. Not making mischief - just wanted to try and contribute as you do on here.

Wishful thinking re Stendel. Top bloke.

Wait until the news hits their forum that Moores fit and ready to finish the season. Then there would be some weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth

Their assessment on the gaffer mirrors their hopes...desperation Clutching at strings... Creating ...wishes... The list is endless... Suppose you could chuck fear into the mix too... That said we've seen it all before with our fans too... It was only weeks ago out lot was slagging and questioning Ross..
. Lol.. Its what rival fans do.. Anything to wind your rivals up... Lol

I'm not sure if there is a period of time before you get posting privileges, I would keep trying and I think eventually you will be able to post etc.

This for me. There's lots of paranoia, fickleness, double standards, fear, panic, blind loyalty etc on all forums. Everyone / most are just desperate for their team to succeed at any cost and common sense doesn't come into play on lots of occasions.

Ahh didn't know that. I will have a look later on, there might something on one of the forum help pages.

Us northerners have loads of common sense... It just goes out of the window occasionally unlike our southern softies who are stood outside the windows looking in.... Saying that southern softies are leading the league lol

Nothing would make me happier that Barnsley and Sunderland finishing in the top 2, if it's to happen Luton need to start losing now but they just don't let up. Pompey hopefully had too much champagne at the weekend and suffer for it.

It's a really strange read that forum. Most of them are writing the way they speak. We sometimes write in our dialect to be ironic, but that seems to be their default mode.

Ending their sentences with 'like' or 'mind'?

Exactly. "Canny" seems to be a very over-used word as well.

Mixed bag on there to be fair, but I do think those predicting taking top spot from Luton are a bit fanciful, even with 2 games in hand.

Failing an out of character catastrophe, Luton are home and hosed for me. Only 2nd spot up for grabs.
