If we don’t go up - I wonder if Stendel will go back to Germany???

**** me. As if it wasn't bad enough losing yesterday and people blaming past mistakes and questioning the ownership, we're now looking to the future to imagine the worst case scenarios, just in case we don't feel negative enough already.

It's like pulling teeth reading some of the stuff on here sometimes. Some folk can't have enough doubt and distrust in their lives. They absolutely thrive on it.

I agree I think he’s done well I just think outsiders might not care for circumstances & will see promotion favourites not going up & think he hasn’t done much of a job.

Enjoyed the first half of the season but wasn’t convinced tactically as I thought we were too attack minded at times such as Sunderland away but since around the start of December up to now I think he’s done a superb job to keep grinding out results without Moore & after losing Potts & Moncur in January.

We were favourites to go up but not sure how much you can read into it imo at the start of the season sunderlands squad looked far stronger on paper there was even a thread on here saying we should have signed Charlie wyke he would score more than kieffer moore lol.
When we came up to the championship under hecky we were favourites to go straight back down that wasn't ever going to be the case.
We weren't even in the bottom 3 with the bookies to go down at the start of last season. And at the start of the season in 2014 we were in the top 4 favourites to go straight back to the championship that was never going to happen from the moment we got beat at home by Crawley. So the bookies havent got it right about us for many years.
I like the attacking football I like we're if we are a goal up we don't sit back we keep attacking. The Sunderland away was a funny game we were on top but fell apart after a pen that never was. Some of the best football I've seen since Wilson in 97 imo.
Like you say outsiders minght think get rid but it would be incredibly harsh.

League one manager of the season. Chief executives from England and Germany may well be pricking up their ears. I hope he stays but history suggests that our best managers like our best players do not stay at Oakwell too long. I hope he stays but I do not think that our current owners are much different from their predecessors. We have been a selling club from the day we turned professional. Like it or not we need to sell our assets to make ends meet. Nowadays managers are assets if they do well. CORY.

Think a lot depends on what, if any, assurances he gets from the Ownership.

For me, its easier to stay in the championship than getting out of league 1. Morais isnt nearly on the same page as Stendal. He was a joke, we should never have got relegated, id go as far as to say I would have kept us up.

The players at the club last season were probably the best set of players that we have had at the club in many many years.
Notice I didn’t say team - as some of the players weren’t at the club at the same time.
    Mahoney, Barnes, McBurnie, Moore.

Add Stendel and players Dougal and Woodrow to that mix and there is at the very least a top six Championship side.

Agree it took Sheffield United 6 seasons to get out of this league on a much bigger budget than stendel has. He seems well liked by the players and board. Best defensive record in the league, highest points total since Bassett, record number of clean sheets. Got the best out of players hecky and jose failed to get anything out of. If they get rid if we don't go up there asking for trouble.
