When we bring on a sub it usually weakens the team. When was the last time a sub had a positive influence on the game for us?
Walsall. Victor had a big part in Brown's goal. Came short, played the ball to Mowatt who pulled it back for Brown to shoot.
Adeboyejo came on at Walsall - involved in the winning goal. Week before that Fryers came on and did a decent job at Rovers. Start of the month both Bahre and Green both made positive impacts at Southend. Also Styles in a recent game - Jordan Williams too against Scunny or Accrington they both came on and improved us.
Other side of coin is. Some of our worst performances came earlier in the season when we had a full squad. Shrewsbury away was an awful performance, as were Wycombe and Charlton and the only time we've conceded 4 goals came at Sunderland.
Southend I would agree on. Nothing beyond that Walsall we got lucky no more or less nothing to do with a tactical switch.
Wake up and smell the coffee Red. Take a deep breath, We not good enough mate. We havent got the championship quality and never will unless we buy that quality. If we manage to go up we'll come straight back down because we'll lose our best players even Stendel. Then we'll buy from the basement again, come on mate. We not in it to win it, we in it to make money.
I agree our Squad is not good enough for the Championship, but actually think a full strength team would survive. How do you know who they will buy in the Summer if we go up, they might strengthen the squad, you just don’t know yet.

Recently yes, I could agree, but it was not that long ago people were raving about Stendel use of subs and how effective they were.
Well I do hope they buy and strengthen the squad but honestly I think they wont. Stendel use of his subs is questionable because they come on too late. Some players after 60 mins are visually struggling and should be brought off then, not on 80 mins.
So.....when we last went up with Hourihane, Roberts, Mawson, Winnall, Watkins, Scowen etc we didn't do it with lower league players? Ok.
In fairness, apart from selling a player who wanted to go ( Potts) and one who wouldn't sign a new contract ( Moncur),in my opinion, we can't yet fully compare this Board with the previous one under Patrick Cryne. We might be better advised to be patient and see where we finish up at the end of this season, take close note of what the Board do regarding Daniel Stendel and any new "recruits" and then offer our comments.!
I think it's still the hangover from the Burton result. I was as guilty as anybody on here. However, I'm looking forward to saturday now.
And then you'll be celebrating again, jumping for joy at the failure of the side. Unless we win a few games, then you'll go into hiding.
You don't know this for sure. The new guys haven't been here two minutes in the grand scheme of things. Of course they want to make money, we all do, we live in a capitalist society, but they have said what their aim is, which is to grow the club without chuckling silly money at it, like Wigan and Reading, both currently fighting relegation from the championship. Just like with any business, they're playing the long game, not shooting their load within 12 months of taking the job on. They are reshaping and improving the club over time.
That's all well and good until player power kicks and the likes of Kieffer Moore, Mowatt, Woodrow want out. As yet these new owners haven't presided over a mass recruitment/rebuild like Cryne had to do in 2014 and 2017. We'll have to wait and see if we're about to become the next Leyton Orient.
Do you think we could have matched for example Connors £30,000 a week ?.Winalls Alleged £15,000 etc etc what these players agents had already been told that other clubs would offer . It’s ok players or agents saying they wanted to stay but weren’t offered the money etc knowing full well we could never match Villa . No one can tell me if we’d offered Connor £15,000 a week he’d have turned villa down and we’d have got nothing for him six months later to re invest .
