    It’s a shame Joey Barton couldn’t get away from the ground as that Ecuadorean embassy has that spare room now.

    He should be sacked and locked up. If a fan bust open a manager or player they would be in court and banned from attending games. Barton being a manager doing it will probably have to pay a small fine out of his millions, avoid any time in the slammer and keep his job.

    It will be interesting to see if he is convicted if the court also gives him a football banning order. A nice three year ban from attending grounds would hurt him

    I believe that the Mirror on line suggests that it was a"Barnsley official" who was helping Barton to leave the ground in a hurry. Is this just speculation on Mirror's part?

    Duncan Ferguson whilst playing for Rangers head butted an opponent on the park. Got sent off then police charged him and he served 3 months in Barlinnie.

    Hopefully if I had headbutted a opposing fan on the way out of the ground I'd have spent last night locked up and be charged with assault and banned from attending games. The brum fan got 3 months for slapping grealish. Interesting to see what Barton gets.
