I hope he keeps doing it, Stendel going bonkers on the line is one of the reasons the team is running their blood to water this season. If it pisses off low-grade managers and conference quality players in the process, then that's just an added bonus.
Yes I saw that - what a legend I forgot who it was - probably Bähre but we won a turnover of possession in the second half and he started jumping around celebrating like we’d scored a goal. That kind of enthusiasm can only be infectious to the players. Love it.
Me too mate. Enthusiasm/showing emotions is strangely frowned upon in football. Everything is a secret. So refreshing to have a genuine football man at Oakwell
I saw that I think the ball went out for a throw to them and he was screaming at the players to push up. Rather see that than morais who never got out of the dugout all game.
Think he was just mimicking Sterling's anti racism celebration from the other week, lads. Especially with the "Enough" campaign on Twitter yesterday. Fair play, no?
Aye, i love how he felt the need to change the direction he was running and do it aiming at our bench as well, especially seen as our manager was on the end of an alleged racially aggrevated assault last week. OR perhaps the player was just being a b*llend.
Eh, to each their own. I didn't see much malice in it personally. There are only four sides to the ground, mind. To do it at the East and South stands would have also seemed aggressive in its own way. Perhaps he was aware that our camera is placed in the West stand and therefore the best place to make a relevant statement. Maybe there was something in it. Maybe there wasn't. Doubt it had anything to do with the Barton-Stendel incidents of recent.
Regardless, I thought that he played really well and finished his goal superbly. Am I right in thinking that he's only just turned 18 too? Can see him starting for Stoke next season. I was genuinely impressed with Shrewsbury in general. Looked good on the counter
