Great video. It’s been a brilliant season. Hats off to Daniel Stendel and his coaching team who have done a marvellous job. Yes we have one of the strongest teams and best budgets I’m the league but they have done a brilliant job. He has overcome a fair bit of adversity and taken it all in his stride - losing Bradshaw, Winkler, Moore and Potts. And then to the team - it’s been a pleasure to watch such a young team develop in the way they have. For so many young lads to be so consistently good over the season is astounding really. Too many to mention but to watch the development of Jacob Brown, McGeehan, Woodrow, Alex Mowatt and particularly Ethan Pinnock has been fantastic. Adam Davies has been outstanding, as has the defence as a whole. I have never known us have so many clean sheets and we have 2 strikers who may get 20 goals each. Let’s hope we can finish the job hopefully automatically. They deserve it. I think this team can go places, it’s a million times better than the one that went down. You reds.
I pay to be entertained and I certainly have been. Watching a team that plays to win rather than not loose gets my vote every time. To a degree I don’t care what league we are in, as long as I leave the match feeling that I have had my money’s worth then fine.
What's your seat number, mate? Just need it so I don't end up picking one next to you for next season.
Out of interest have you and your lad been sat in the Ponty, just to the right of the goal towards the back? I'm 4 or 5 rows behind you
Hypocrite would be saying the whole squad isn't good enough and we will struggle again, and then say if we don't get 2nd it's failure.
Jesus Jimmy, the post starts off with nothing but the best of intentions and you bring it down with a disgusting personal insult. Whatever else you certainly know how to make yourself look a first class lovely person
The club's stated aim was promotion. If they don't reach the target they set it will be a failure. Whether I thought they would do it or not is irrelevant. By the way, despite what anyone on here might think, there is no one who wants us to get promoted more than me. Mainly for Stendel as I think he has done a superb job. Some of these players will never win me round but I am a definitely a Stendel man.
Not sure how a season can be judged in a binary success / failure way. We've got 88 points, most seasons that would be better 22 clubs in the league, unfortunately this season it wont be. Same people would probably describe Liverpool and Klopp as a failure if they get 97 points and finish second. Our promotion attempt might prove unsuccessful, but it's been a good season, and the more players and coaches that are here next season, the better.
