Tried to attach a picture and failed but our pitch today was near perfect, last game of the season and the pitch hardly looked played on. A big well done to the ground staff and thanks to all involved.

Thought the opposite to be honest.

Looked shocking, especially in the goal areas.

It’s just been battered by a flood of morons running on the pitch at full time.

Stewards just watching as 5 kids are swinging from the crossbar which was lovely. Just lovely.

‘Shocking’ really, Now Accrington’s pitch is shocking, ours is a world’s away from being anywhere near that.

Did you watch a football game at any point more than eight or ten years ago?

At the end of the season, even near Christmas, even the best clubs had near ploughed fields in the penalty boxes. You’d be hard pushed to see much grass on pitches of clubs at our level.

What we have now is essentially a perfect carpet in comparison.

It’s a lot of hard work that goes in to that and it is to be praised.

For an end of season pitch it looked fantastic. Have you seen some of the other fields?

Of course, but it's not 10/15/20 years ago, it's 2019 with all the advancements in technology that goes with it.

I wasn't planning on slating the club for it, even slightly. I think it's acceptable, maybe even above average for the level we are at - but it was a hell of a long way off 'near perfect'.

To say its 100% grass and not the Desso type which is fibre grass woven into it I think the ground staff have done a fantastic job with it, it's not that long ago that after 3/ 4 months of the season there was no grass left in the 6 yard box and not much left in the box overall, well done to the head groundsman

Look at that, it’s an absolute disgrace. Last home game of the season, you can barely see any grass.

    It looks shocking...

    Dear me

The only knackered part of the pitch is where the two linos run. I thought our pitch looked really good for April and the ground staff deserve a lot of credit for keeping it in a condition where we can play slick football on the ground. Have a look at the pitch Blackpool play on to see a poor playing surface.

There are patches where the keeper stands when the players are doing their shooting practise even though they alternate the side they use every home game.
