Happy for them. It wasn't that long ago we were playing them at championship level and then they went rubbish. Be good if they can get back in the Football League with back to back promotions. They are too big to be stuck in non league. The percentage of away fans watching them yesterday I have never known anything like it.

I’m a closet Stockport fan. Their Arthur Brownlow’s Pork Pie Hat song is the best football song ever.

Finally got their stadium back via the council a few years ago . They lost it in the 2000s and the rent crippled them ever since . Good to see the local council intervening for the benefit of the local community . A few more years and I think they ll be back in the big time .....

Was a decent away trip for me living just up the road - remember that walk in front of the home fans to get to the seats in the away end

The Stockport fans really have had to endure some very dark days. I hope they're behind them and they can get back into the football league.

I remember going in to the club/pub at the side of the ground and buying a "pick a team" from an elderly lady.It was the biggest "pick a Team" I'd ever seen ,all 92 clubs were on it.Have a guess who won it.?

My second ever Barnsley game was against Stockport at home, we drew 2-2 if i remember correctly. Cant remember what year, think it mightve been 2002.

My first ever game was against Wolves, we lost 1-0 at home, think that was the season before my second ever game. They had Temur Ketsbaia, was really excited to see him play.

County are my local team. It’s absolutely appalling the way they’ve been mismanaged for a long time and this is the absolute minimum their fans deserve.
Extremely impressive the way they’ve maintained their support given how long they’ve now been in part time regional football.

Hope they continue to succeed in place of made up plastic clubs like Fylde and Salford.

I'd rather have Weatherfield County in the league than feckin Salford.

For god's sake..so what? Maybe they should be banned for small crowds. Their fans made to wear badges saying we are unworthy.
Maybe WE should be banned from going up because we're a small club?
I guess their players must all be crap too. No good players can come from clubs like Partick Thistle or Forest Green.
