    Can anyone recommend a good one?

    None in town centre are worthy of a visit mate. But if you’re going to, make sure you avoid Chilli. Tandoori Hut outside of town (Wakey Road) is probably the best to go to.

    Dont know about restaurant but takeaway DIlshad on sheff rd takes some beating.

    If you are on the 3 phone network (or get a free sim) you can get 2 for 1 at a lot of places to eat with their free Wuntu app. Chilli is one listed on there. You have to book in advance and some are only Sun-Thurs but others are 7 days a week.

    In Barnsley it lists Gate of India, Aroma Cafe Bar, Pasha, Chilli, Dil Raj in Dodworth and Sylet Palace.

    Always liked Mogul Rooms...actually think Tandoori Hut is one of the worst, certainly doesn't taste like what I grew up on, Chilli in town is decent.

    Obviously this contradicts what others have said, all down to personal taste I think.

    Chilli is dire. Tandoori Hut is slop, nice staff though

    Cardamom Lounge and Curry Mahal are awesome, not exactly town centre mind you.

    Mumbai Boss at Sandal, formerly known as New Shabana, and Darton Balti are my two curry houses of choice. Both are excellent and in my opinion are leagues ahead of Royal Spice, Curry Mahal, Dil Raj, and Gate of India.
