Is it just me or did Game of Thrones just follow the old traditional route of the good v evil last night,
The baddies were ultra sneeringly bad and it all went their sneaky underhanded way
The goodies started to implode from the word go and everything went as wrong as possible

Bit disappointed as the real joy of GOT has been the unexpected twists but after the no way to win battle of Winterfell were off to the no way to win battle of Kings landing,
Yep I kno it's just TV but a lot of us have invested quite a few years in this, just felt the standard dropped a bit.

Yep I need to get out more

I thought it was probably the best episode this series, but I've found this series to be quite disappointing so far

I agree I think it was the best so far this season, but this season has been disappointing.

It does all seem very black and white now, doesn't it? Not much grey area or expansive multi-layer plot lines.

It's probably my own fault for spending the 2 years between seasons theorising endings and plots, none of which have happened, all of which I'd prefer (Not trying to say I know better than the writers, I'm sure all my ideas and theories would have problems with them when examined). My expectations were far too high.

I think they've gradually lost their way since they got ahead of the books. The world and setting initially seemed very real and well-imagined but now characters just teleport about and appear wherever they are needed next. The characters used to be very well developed whereas they are now just a function to deliver plot, and any character development only occurs when required to further the plot and as a consequence often feels stilted and jarring.
