There's a lot of talent but it's not that straightforward. I live in Germany and watch a fair bit of Bundesliga 2. It's like watching a different game to what you see in League 1/Championship sometimes. It's much more tactical, less about power and intensity and more about outsmarting the opponent. Some games are boring as ****, missing the intensity of our leagues.

You need the right player, one that can take the good stuff from Germany and adapt their game to suit the efl. You can see Bahre struggled with that at times last season but on the whole he's getting there. Others would have no chance. Likewise, most lads from our leagues would be spannered over there.

Yes, your probably right. Bahre did struggle with the pace early doors but was able to get away with it in lg1, a similar player coupled with the newness of playing in England and the championship would be eaten alive. Championship isnt perhaps as frenzied as lg1 but mistakes and defficiencies are showed up much quicker due to the quality of the opposition.

I don't think he was signed for the Championship. I don't think we will see him kick a ball unless we attend pre-season. He's already behind Moore and Woodrow in pecking order and whoever else we bring in. If we'd wanted him that bad we'd have bought out the loan deal and paid Boro the 500k asking price instead of the 250k we did pay.

Why exactly? That's not a very large amount in today's inflated market. If Preston paid around that for Potts, is easily conceivable we'll end up shelling out 2 million for a striker.
