From cocky Mackens assuming they can just buy any of our players they take a fancy to.

Sorry Spender...this is not directed at you... But charlton deserved that victory.. If only to rub salt in the wounds created by a large section of those sunderland fans who gave it Billy big time and now need to have a reality check...sunderland are a big club in name only...harsh fact.. they are now Playing in the 3rd tier of English football again for another year. .. 3rd tier for a reason... Your team are not good enough...
    Well done Charlton....

Top three get promoted. In all fairness, that’s how it should be.

Tbh I think the vast majority of Sunderland fans are grounded and good honest working class supporters full of Northern humour and humility .
I’ve been in the company of many a Mackem and they can rip the piss out of themselves as good as any Barnsley person .
Got to say on the day Charlton were the better team and deserved to win but I think the vast majority of Sunderland fans will acknowledge this as well.
I hope it’s not long before they are back at least into the championship and wish them well next season .
I’ll be going to the Durham miners gala in July and I’ll be mixing with a few Mackems and Mags no doubt and there’ll be friendly banter no doubt about that but I’ll miss SoL next season but I’ll hooefuly enjoy the Valley .
    Well done Charlton

In 2016/17Sunderland were in the prem and Lincoln City were in the conference .

They are a league fixture next season in league one.

Good trip to the SOL this year even with the result. Always enjoyed the banter with Sunderland fans. Lots in common including mutual dislike of Leeds. I’d much rather a trip to Sunderland than take out another mortgage for the train fair to Charlton.
