    Anyone know of any rock bands worth watching, looking forward to the Black Lamps and Seventh Son.

    A Joker Among Thieves, Black Vines, Toronto Blessings, all good rock bands.
    Band from Newcastle called Twist Helix are a personal fave, more synth based (not usually my thing) but very good.

    +1 from me. My favourite Barnsley band. Quirky, lyrically clever, great harmonies and dark humour. Nice lads too.

    Hiya PP. I haven’t been to the festival since the new lads took the festival on and it became Barnsley Live. The previous organisers organise the new acts stage at Wentworth festival now, so we go there, and it’s landed each time on the same day as Barnsley Live. Gutting, as I’d love to stroll around all day just watching the bands and having a bevy. The Barnsley Live team are doing a fantastic job by the looks of it

    Just for clarity I'm a fan of theirs and think the relatively recent addition of brass and synth works well.
