Angers me! What other respectible sport or business would let this errrmmm...human, continue to represent their senior managment? If it wasnt so serious this would be laughable.
He does seem to be completely incapable of controlling himself. Stubbing a cigar out in someone's face. Any normal person has a filter that, in the split second before doing it, weighs up the consequences and decides it's a terrible idea in so many respects.
If I’d assaulted anyone whilst at work, employee, contractor, customer, competitors whoever I’d be suspended on full pay whilst an internal investigation was carried out. Following this I’d be invited to a disciplinary hearing where the result of the investigation would be presented and doubtless I’d be dismissed for gross misconduct. That Barton is still in post at Fleetwood tells me that the tool and his club deserve each other.
I think when the victim sees photos on line he will be getting calls egging him on for componsation claims. Then the CPS will get wind in all fairness I think he is in serious **** remember he is already on bail
Some Fleetwood Town fans claiming it’s a witch-hunt. Fleetwood Town are aware of reports that Joey Barton was involved in a fight in Newquay last weekend and have spoken to the manager, Sky Sports News understands.
It’s rather telling that they said no one else from the club was on the stag do. Clearly don’t like him enough to want to go on a night out with him.
Says in today's Chronicle that the man arrested for an alleged assault on Daniel Stendel on April the 13 th after the game against Fleetwood, has been bailed further to July 2019. A paragraph in the piece says "Fleetwood manager Joey Barton was accused by Barnsley players of causing the Germans injuries and spoken to by police."
Where do bail regulations stand with respect to punching people to the floor on Newquay beach (allegedly)?
