Why should we be keeping him? Don't get me wrong I liked Jackson he seems like a nice lad and always gave 100% but he could only get a kick in league one when Lindsay or pinnock were out so he has got no chance of playing in the championship. Best move for both hibs and barnsley if you ask me.

Like Jackson but I agree, just not good enough on the ball especially for the way we play

Agree with the general comments on here. Good luck to the Lad. Even though Pinnock and Lindsay had excellent seasons, I don’t think there’s much between the three of them. Would have loved to keep him but he wasn’t going to stay here as a bench warmer, and those two just don’t seem to get injured (good!)

He's a free agent, he wasn't retained by Barnsley. So wasn't enticed from anywhere.

So we didn’t offer him a new contract?

    Fair enough.

Lots of well wishes from our players so must have been well liked. Good luck to him.

We did in January didn't we? I suppose the point is Jackson - although a relatively good defender and well regarded - turned the contract down in January, and therefore had no intention of remaining at the club, hence the club didn't offer him a new contract (in the summer) and Jackson departed. Thus, he wasn't enticed away from the club, he had already walked.
