My support for Barnsley is not transient. Till we hit Northern Premier League Division One North. At which time I will be playing rather than supporting.
If and when that day comes. It’ll mean we’re worth investing in OR a failed exercise and just want shut. But Conway did say they’re in for the long haul. Either way it will mean we still have a club.
I'm somewhat older but Beckenbauer wise. Which means covering no ground at all. Just pass it to me. I'll play the defence splitting pass. From where I am.
We were bought as a second division club. Hecky walked & we made a bad choice. We had enough to stay up, but the manager was useless.
Probably realise there would be a conflict of interest when we play them in the champions league in two years!
Could be they want to concentrate on just one club using their time and finances in one place. It could be they plan on using the cash made from the sale to buy another foreign club. When they bought Nice the fee was undisclosed and so we don't know how much profit they will have from the 90 million it's reported they will get or how much of that we will see. They are selling to the richest man in Britain, so the Nice fans that dislike the board so much should be happy the current owners will be leaving them in a better state.
Chien Lee and the other co-owners of OGC Nice, sound as though they have had enough of the criticism they have faced in a the recent past and so might have decided that the time is now right for them to offload. If they do, can we harbour hopes that we will become their only project.? Time will of course tell. He wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but I for one, wouldn't be disappointed to see Gauthier return to resume the duties of CEO. He does seem to enjoy the support of the Board and unlike any new appointment, would have no problem in quickly settling back into his former duties, plus the attraction for the owners would be that they would be saving an additional salary.
It wont change a thing from what I'm told. Budgets will stay the same etc. The only benefit is that the investment group will be able to concentrate on just the 1 side rather than 2. Dont expect is to be splashing more cash than what we would be doing if the owners hadn't sold Nice, because it isn't going to happen. Remember, they're investors. They've made good money on the sale of Nice and previous revenue from the club.
Don't see how it has any bearing on us at all. Just tells us that if we get to a point where the club can be sold on at a profit it will be. That's not really news to me.
Leaves us in same position we've always been in, probably sick of the Nice supporters. They've had Champions League football for the first time in their history and a profit of €30 million on player transfers last season. Their fans sound like they want to chuck everything at it, its pointless its a one horse league.
As that thread doesn’t ask, ‘where is the train station?’ and ‘when is your Birthday?’ I have no idea what it says.
I hope so. Sounds like a good shout to me. Seems strange we haven’t replaced him and he stayed on our board of directors
