    Years ago a Liverpool youngster signed his first professional contract. I can’t remember the boys name, but The phraseology of the Liverpool press release shook me to the core. They said they didn’t want to ruin him so they had offered him ONLY £30000 a week!! That’s when I knew for certain how out of touch the top football teams were.

    Oakwell is a fantastic place for a young striker with potential to get his career back on track and become a success, if he has to take a short term drop in wages to accomplish that then im sure even the stupidest of players and agents could see that.

    24 in December and less than 100 games played. Probably another Isgrove or Fryers. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole.
