Just as over-hyped as the footy team it seems - Can't beat Sri Lanka or Pakistan, getting tonked by the Ozzies! Seriously Doubt we'll beat India or New Zealand on this form.

Only the best one day team in the world consistently battering teams all over the shop for the last 3 years......

Lose 2 games.... must be rubbish

Unfortunately they are proving themselves to be flat track bullies. Bat first against a depleted attack on a road of a pitch and all is good.

    Any pressure and they've crumbled.

Australia have been very strong so far but we shouldn't gave capitulated against Sri Lanka. Maybe Stokes can be the hero.

3 aussies have been very strong so far: warner, finch and smith.
Without these they would be struggling to make the semis.
We have much greater strength in depth but things are unfortunately not working to plan. Could still win this though.

no, like the footballers, they just manage to bottle it when the pressures on...

they really need to take a look at how other teams step up to the plate when the pressure is on...

I don't like the way we always bowl 1st when winning a toss, for me bat 1st and put a score on the board

We seem to struggle massively when it's a low scoring wicket.

Flat track bullies. Ball moves, the sloggers struggle. Just like our test batsmen.

England don't have the mentality to win a major tournament. They won the world T20 a few years ago but that's it. Look at the Australian side, supposedly struggling come into the tournament and yet here they are again performing when it matters.

I get your point but we never seem to do it when it matters, at a World Cup. Genuinely in danger of not making the semis now which would be a big embarrassment after all the hype.

Think it was more to do with it being better to bowl due to the rain overnight

Conditions dictated who chose to bowl first, Finch agreed he'd have bowled too.
Rain all night so wicket covered and low grey cloud this morning. What we did was fail to capitalise on this during the first hour of play.
