If I was him I would another couple of seasons with us would improve his football before playing in the top tier which he capable of unlike Lyndsay he will be a solid championship defender so for him to maximise his earnings I can't fault him for moving on .
Hopefully it's another four year deal with a 5th year in our favour if we are offering that kind of cash.
If he does sign, I can only see a one year extension TBH. He will move on, but would be a massive plus to have him for one more season, give him a year to help us & himself to get a big money move next. He should be at his maximum value then. I think it would be worth spending some of the Lindsay money to make him a very good offer. We'll see, it will depend on the clubs interested I guess how well we can compete. Staying up is vital next season & he would be a massive boost to our chances.
Putting 10k a week in the paper is putting that player in the shop window imo. I think he will end up going. It wouldn't surprise me if we get the Leeds CB and another 2 from Europe
Wan-Bissaka was on £8,250 a week at Palace in the Premier League. £10,000 a week is daft money for a club like us.
10k a week and the promise if a PL club comes in with a sensible offer, we'll play fair. That's what I'd suggest if I were Prime Minister
It's half a million spent, but if we get an extra million or two for him & another season, it may be money well spent. Would spell a change of policy at the club, as would set a precedent for future signings, which might mean it being delayed, until other players have been signed? Just a thought.
A fair bit will rightly be paid in tax. It is still a ridiculous amount of money for a young footballer.
